Description

Davis Park Golf Course in Fruit Heights balances beauty and playability, offering a layout with mountain views, mature trees, and smooth greens. It's a favorite among northern Utah golfers for its reliable conditions and balanced design, challenging enough for low handicaps, but still forgiving for casual players.

I was so excited to play this course after looking at the website and seeing the other reviews and pictures. When I got checked in and got my score card I was terribly confused because it was a simple printer paper sheet with boxes for the front and back. I thought maybe they just ran out, but there weren't yardages or anything on the card. When I got to the first tee box I was even more confused because they have changed out the nice hole signs with yards and a map of the hole for some dark plate steel sign that only has the hole number and claw marks for the par. The greens were nice looking but they were not healed from aeration so putting was more like playing plinko. All of the confusion and the greens being so bad led me to get a refund on the back nine. Very disappointing and confusing to play here. Whoever made the decision to change the signs needs a putter to the shin every time he steps foot on the property. Absolutely dumb. Edit after owner response: I totally understand the principles behind aeration and probably should have left that out of my complaint as it is what it is. But to hear that you intentionally CHOSE to get rid of any semblance of useful signage and opted for a sign devoid of any information beyond your nifty dino themed logo, par, and hole number, just makes me wonder what was going on that you thought that made sense. I've never in my life been to any other golf course that only had range indicators on the driving range and nothing on the course itself. You certainly nailed the non-traditional and "memorable" part. I'll never forget how dumb I found it to be. The scorecards, I get you ran out and are waiting on the new ones. But come on, the level of lazy here is just next level. You couldn't have photocopied your old one and printed that? I want to take away another star but it's not the courses fault ownership makes terrible or half-assed decisions.
