Mountain Dell's Lake Course is slightly more forgiving than the Canyon Course but just as scenic. It winds around creeks, wetlands, and open meadows with the Wasatch mountains as a constant backdrop. Cool temps and crisp air make it a summer favorite.

Mountain Dell is a really fun course with absolutely sensational views—it’s one of the most scenic and conveniently located options near Salt Lake City. The layout offers variety and challenge, and the proximity to SLC makes it an easy choice when you want to sneak in a round. That said, this entire year the course has been plagued by painfully slow play. Rounds regularly stretch into 4.5–5.5 hours due to extreme bottlenecks, which takes a lot of the enjoyment out of the experience. Unfortunately, there’s no real pace-of-play monitoring: no rangers on the course and no enforcement, which makes the issue even more frustrating. If Mountain Dell can get pace of play under control, it would truly be a top-tier course for both locals and visitors. Until then, expect amazing scenery but bring your patience.
