This was the 1st time at the golf course and it was a very rude welcoming. The guy at the front had zero manners, im not sure if it’s because we looked young, but he told us we needed to head straight to our hole when we still had 15 minutes until our tee time. We made reservations online where it let us pay for spectators, but when we told him what our reservations we for he gave attitude and told us we had to pay for 6 golfers, but were only allowed to have four people hit. And then when we got halfway done, he came up to us and told us we were taking too long. It had only been 2 1/2 hours and that is because we let a few groups of 2 go ahead of us and two of us hadn’t even golfed before. And on top of that he was watching our every move in and outside of the club house. He was nice to everyone else bagging their ice, making their drink, etc. but walked right by us with zero smiles. My husband has been a few times and never ran into this kind of rudeness before. The lady cooking the food on the other hand was as sweet as could be and made amazing food especially the breakfast burritos . She made us feel welcomed along with everyone else we met at the clubhouse except the old guy wearing a baby blue texas rangers baseball cap.

The green fees foreshadow what you get here. It is a goat track with dried out pasture for fairways and plinko boards for greens. Bring plenty of balls because even decent shots landing in the fairway get ricochet like kicks. I think this place stays open because some think golfing at a terrible course is better than no golf. What a shame. This could be a cool little course but it is in such a sad state of neglect. I think shutdown and overhaul is the only way it could return to playable conditions.

For the most part this course is a good value course. $19 for 18 holes with a cart was worth the hour drive to come check it out. Some of the tee boxes have hard soil so it’s hard to get a tee in. As of today about 3 of the 18 greens are in decent shape. Most of the fairways are decent with an occasional dirt patch. Where else are you dropping $19 for 18 that would look better? Exactly… At the end of the day you get what you pay for. I would definitely come back out this way to play another round.

Well to start Archie behind the counter was great. Friendly seemed like we knew each other for years and could’ve talked for hours. He hooked me up asked me to check in after the round. Trying out the new hip and was pleased not a big crowd. I wasn’t pressured and never played in to other groups. Course was perfect for me. Yes there is a drought. So fairways were on the hard side. Greens were bare in spots and had some weeds Some greens not as good as others. For the value you need to accept these conditions. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back.

The staff at the front desk were accommodating, allowing us to start early, which we appreciated. However, I must highlight the severe neglect of the course itself—it's been in bad shape for a long time and definitely not worth the $33 per person they charged. It's disappointing because it's the only course nearby, but I won't be returning. A change in ownership could greatly improve its upkeep. Here are some photos showing its current condition.
