Visiting family in Tyler. Almost didn't go after reading some of the posted reviews. It really wasn't bad for a Public course. Some areas of the course need some attention. Tee boxes were decent. Couple of fairway layouts were questionable. Overall, not a bad experience. I'd play there again.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your course. I came to play with my husband and another couple, and while we were looking forward to a fun, relaxed outing, the experience was unfortunately soured by a negative interaction with a staff member. At one point during the round, I got out of the cart to putt for fun—a moment that’s always been harmless and enjoyable for us. However, a manager approached us and spoke in a harsh and unprofessional tone, assuming I had been playing the entire course. The staff member also ripped a ball out of my hand I picked up the ball on the course unaware it was a range ball. I understand and respect your course policies, but the way it was handled felt unnecessary and overly aggressive. It put a damper on what was meant to be a lighthearted day with friends. My husband was very angered I wish we could get our money back at this point because our chances of returning to this course are slim now.

About two months ago I had my 12 year old grandson at your driving range teaching him the fundamentals of golf, etc. John, the 'pro', was in the cart picking up balls. My grandson accidentally hit the cart and John went postal, yelled a few very childish statements and then swore at him. Another man was on the range with his son and left with us and said to me 'they've lost my business.' My sentiments exactly. I have patroned your course for 10 years, has been my 'go to' golf course. I will never be back as long as John is your 'pro.' I have played several other courses in surrounding areas and without exception I speak with golfers who have had issues with this man and his attitude. My grandson apologized to the cashier in the pro shop for hitting the cart, and then asked her, 'but why did swear at me?' No answer, no response. You're getting a bad reputation.

Just played 18 holes with my brother-in-law. I played the best i ever played after 2 months of practice scoring a 99. After we finished the shop manager, John, came out and basically chewed us out for taking 5.5 hours. I'm sorry I'm not a pro, but he expected us to play 18 holes in 3.5 hours. The day before I used the driving range and he was super nice and helped me with my swing. I understand we may have taken a little longer but he didn't have to keep making jabs at us after making his point. He said there was 12 groups stacked up behind us, and I allowed 5 groups to passed and then asked the group behind us if they wanted to pass and they declined because he wanted me to play and have fun. That group said the other group was about 3 holes behind us and they never caught up. John was outright disrespectful and unfortunately I will never play here again. Sorry for the long review.
