Golf Trails at the Woodlands (North)

location icon 2311 N Millbend Dr
Phone icon (281) 882-3000

Description

The North Course at The Woodlands offers a peaceful setting, with towering pines and winding fairways typical of southeast Texas golf. It’s a relatively forgiving layout, with wider fairways and more open approaches than its sister courses. The design encourages an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, though the undulating greens still require attention. The natural surroundings and tree-lined corridors create a secluded feel that many golfers appreciate. It’s often considered the most player-friendly of the Woodlands tracks, making it a popular choice for casual rounds.

The officials are completely rude and have an attitude. I do not agree with lack of professionalism and middle school bullying that occurs.

I love Panther Trail! Especially the 18th hole! Great practice facilities and plenty of food and drink all throughout the resort! Lots of options!

Well maintained... The island green a beautiful touch. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. GPS golf carts, and driving range in great shape, pro shop well stocked and friendly. A wonderful golf resort. Definitely had a superb golf vacation on this property.

Courses are in great condition, BUT AM hour tee times are non existent. Go online 8 days in advance at 6am for a weekend tee time for more than 2 people, and no tee times are available before 1pm. Call, same result. Same result week in and week out since the beginning of the year. It is nearly impossible to reserve a tee time at any of the 3 courses, unless you get lucky and there is a cancellation. If you only play during the week, great. If you play mostly weekends due to work, you are S.O.L., and you pay membership dues monthly regardless. Like I said, the courses are awesome, and the staff is great, BUT there are never available tee times on weekends, EVER! The management knows this is a problem for members, and haven't done anything to correct it. I would not recommend membership to anyone for this reason alone.

The Woodlands Country Club had an issue: not capping its membership. Members struggle to get tee times. Their solution? Take over the Golf Trails of The Woodlands and force those members out. Members of the Oaks/Panther Course were given an ultimatum. Pay $6,000 - $15,000 to 're-join' and use the same courses as before (plus one course), or leave. Not to mention the added $300-400 per month on top of what they are already paying. They did not care that they were leaving golfers basically stranded as there are no nearby golf courses that compare. They are destroying the relationships/friendships built. Some golfers have an extreme passion for golf as well as being an outlet for stress. They also did not account for the dreams of those golfers' kids to learn golf. Kids that also have a drive to learn the game. A younger generation without the opportunity all because of greed. Their mission statement originally mentioned wanting the younger generation in their club. That was a lie because when push came to shove, they discarded loyal members like trash. If this is what it means to live in this community, I don't want to be a part of it. There is enough greed and selfishness in this world.
