The Tribute Golf Links

Description

The Tribute in The Colony is a Scottish-inspired links course located along Lake Lewisville. It pays homage to legendary Open Championship venues with wind-swept fairways, pot bunkers, and large undulating greens. Though semi-private, its quality and setting offer a country club experience. The Tribute is a taste of St. Andrews in the heart of Texas.

Great experience here! My friends and I played the tribute course for the first time here and it was amazing. Great fairways and conditions and greens rolled fast and true. The carts were new and clean stocked with water. Staff was nice and helpful and food was decent. We will definitely be back to try the old American course.

Enjoyable golf course - a preview of what Scotland courses can offer without going across the Pond. Generous landing areas. Course in great condition, besides a couple holes (looks like some irrigation work). Greens looked like they were plugged a couple weeks ago. Would highly recommend.

Recently had my husband's 60th birthday in The Tribute's Outlook room. I can't compliment the staff enough on how they went over and beyond to make my event go as smoothly and perfect as possible! Taylor Hull, the event planner, made everyone of my request happen! She basically took the stress off of me! We had the Italian Buffet, which I highly recommend! The food was amazing and the guest were very pleased, they are still talking about it! I highly recommend if you are looking to book an event, to use the Outlook room!

Just a Golf review (non member) I dont live in North Texas but visit Dallas area for work frequently. It is always such a treat to come out and play this course(Tribute) or Old American. Incredible design, beautiful lake views, course is in immaculate condition for September, Still Green!!!. While Old American is a stunning, unique and challenging track with tight fairways and challenging bunkering, Tribute offers a wonderful homage to the great links golf of the UK with open fairways and challenging greens, very difficult on a windy day, but its not gimmicky which is a tough trait to pull off. This might be some of my most favorite golf in Texas and an absolute gem if you are in the area and want to play a premium facility that will test your game in the best way.

This was a beautiful course from the club house to number 9. I say that because I didn't get to play the back nine which was terrible considering this was my first time playing here. I booked on golf now and there was nothing about the course playing only the front 9. Apparently they were rebuilding the bridges on the back 9. The course was in great shape and played well. It's a Scottish style links course and the holes are designed from famous holes on courses throughout Scotland. Each hole marker tells the history behind the hole. It's wide open course that allows for some fairway misses that you can still get to the hole in regulation. The greens are defiantly a challenge. They are rolling and hilly. You will hardly ever have a straight putt. I would have given this course 4 stars if I could have played the back 9. I recommend this course and will probably play it again once they get the back 9 open again
