The course was enjoyable, and we had a great time playing there. The staff were excellent—very friendly and helpful. The greens, however, weren’t in the best shape due to maintenance, which made it difficult for me to judge the speed. Overall, though, it’s an excellent course for beginners like me, with wide fairways and a few shorter par 4 holes. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Played Olmos Basin today and had a great round — even shot my best score in a long time (86). The course is very forgiving and well-suited for casual and recreational golfers, though low-handicappers may find it a little less challenging. Conditions were good, with greens rolling nicely despite the recent lack of rain. Pace of play was very comfortable, and it wasn’t crowded on Friday morning. The staff are always super friendly, and the carts are in good condition with built-in GPS. The cart girl came around at about 10 AM, and the clubhouse offers some basic grab-and-go options (hot dogs, sandwiches, chips, canned drinks, etc.). The biggest drawback is the lack of a full driving range. There’s a single hitting net for warm-up and a practice green for putting, which helps but isn’t quite the same as a range. Overall, it’s a very solid muni course that’s fun, forgiving, and great value. I’ll definitely be back. I can certainly see why it was rated as a Top Course in San Antonio a couple years back. It is on the Alamo Trail... so, even better with the added associated discount. Would definitely play here again.

The course - from tee boxes to fairways to greens - was in great shape. Very friendly and welcoming staff. My only complaint - and it's a standing one - is that there is no grill there. I sincerely wish they would convert the workout center into a grill of some sort. It would be a much better (and appreciated) use of that space, in my opinion.

Well maintained golf course, friendly staff, always kind and welcoming. The course is well kept, the greens were punched/sanded recently and it will take a bit longer to look great again, but they are doing a great job even Tessa keeps a friendly smile under sun 🌞
