Great little golf course! A very relaxed, great place to start if you're new or learning, or if you just want to have a quiet day out with friends. Never have any pace of play issues, everyone's happy to let faster players or smaller groups play through. Just an overall calm golf experience with great people. Expect West Texas conditions, but they're maintained as well as they possibly can be. Love this place.

This course is exactly what should be expected given the circumstances. Its an easy course that is just shy of 3,000 yards. If you can hit these greens out here, Quicksand's greens should be no problem. For the fee of $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends what more could you ask for? Sure the fairways are dry and desert-esque. The greens are really coming along for what they are. This used to be a course that the city cared for and watered. THAT is how everyone else remembers it. Now 1 lone owner is taking care of the course by himself. Do you know how much money it would cost to bring this course into conditions like Quicksand? Anywhere from 50,000-100,000 dollars alone and that's just a rough estimate. The city doesn't allow for water to be pulled from the Concho and the course gets charged like we do at our homes per gallon. Y'all pay 10 dollars and complain about the course which is crazy to me. Entitled nonetheless honestly. You come here to practice and play as many holes as you want for TEN DOLLARS. Where else can you do that in San Angelo? No where and if you tell me otherwise that's a bold lie. It's the oldest course in San Angelo and the city does not care for it. Maybe start barking at the city about helping the course out since it was literally donated to San Angelo by the Santa Fe Railroad. If you don't want to go to the city just enjoy it for what it is and stop complaining on google reviews like you paid $60 to play here. The owner pays over 10k in water fees just in 1 month to keep this course ALIVE. Do you think renovations and not being able to water the fairways is possible with that kind of expense? Hopefully this reaches the dense folks of google reviews and maybe y'all try and understand certain businesses situations before jumping the gun to leave a bad review.

This is barely what you would call a golf course, more of a desert-park with tee boxes and holes. However, it is a great place to practice golf as it is very cheap and the staff is nice. Military and student discounts make this a no-brainer to do a quick 9 to practice for Quicksand or the like.

fun golf course to get out and exercise. other than that it’s a waste of time. the only benefit is it’s cheap. bathrooms are top 5 most disgusting bathrooms i’ve ever seen, guy at front desk is lazy and could not care what you have to say, plays video games on his phone and a DAMN PLAYSTATION all day. this course is infested with goathead stickers and grass burs with no efforts to remove these. you must clean your shoes before you leave in order to not bring home stickers to destroy your yard aswell. for a course where you walk for 3+ hours, this should be a problem they are attempting to fix.
