Course is in decent condition. Greens are hard but roll ok. They just aerated the fairways and put the droppings along the rough. Pretty long course btw. Only issue is i like a decent pace of play. Problem is had we had a slow group ahead of us. The Marshall said they will allow us to play thru. So we asked after we waited every shot for the next 3 holes and they said they'd pick up the pace. They did not. 4 hrs and 40 minutes later we finished our round. On a Thursday. Ugh.

The Waterview golf course is the finest golf course in the east Dallas area. The greens are in incredible condition. Staff is incredibly friendly and I highly recommend checking it out.

Waterview Golf Club is a mixed bag—there are some genuinely enjoyable aspects, but also several frustrating drawbacks that keep it from being a top-tier golf destination. I’ve played here a handful of times, and every round leaves me with both good memories and mild irritation. On the positive side, the course layout is actually quite fun. There’s a nice mix of challenging holes, well-placed bunkers, and water features that force you to think about shot placement. The par 3s are especially enjoyable, with scenic views and just enough difficulty to keep things interesting. The fairways, when in good shape, are wide enough for most players to feel comfortable, yet still offer strategic angles for better golfers to take advantage of. The clubhouse is clean and welcoming, and the staff at check-in have always been polite and professional. Pricing is reasonable for the area, especially if you take advantage of weekday rates. The practice facilities are also a plus—there’s a decent driving range and putting green to warm up before your round. However, course maintenance can be inconsistent. Some days the greens roll smoothly; other days they’re patchy and slow. Bunkers are hit-or-miss—sometimes fluffy and well-raked, other times hard-packed and neglected. Pace of play is another recurring issue. Marshals are rarely seen on the course, which means slow groups can bring the round to a crawl, especially on weekends. Another frustration is the lack of clear signage between holes in certain spots, which can make navigating for first-time players a bit confusing. The cart paths also need attention in some areas—they’re cracked and bumpy, making for an uncomfortable ride. Customer service on the course is decent overall, but I’ve experienced a few instances where beverage cart service was almost nonexistent for an entire round. On a hot Texas day, that’s a problem. Ultimately, Waterview Golf Club is a course with good bones and the potential to be great if management consistently maintained the greens, improved pace-of-play enforcement, and kept the bunkers in better shape. It’s worth playing if you’re in the area, but don’t expect perfection. For now, it’s a solid 3-star experience—fun enough to revisit, but not without its flaws.

Decent course for the most part. About 85% of it is in good shape. Low rating for the predatory pricing. They surge up and down like Uber and despite the website advertising a 40 dollar tee time when we called and when we were standing in the shop paying, they charged 53 each. When asked to honor the site rate they declined. Classless!

Waterview is one of my favorite courses! Good course with very nice staff. I golf last week and Bryson in the pro shop was the nicest kid with great manners but they are all so helpful. Waterview is not expensive and the greens and fairways are in great shape.
