It’s incredibly disheartening to witness what should be a beautiful golf course fall into such neglect. The club's website proudly advertises “27 beautiful holes of golf” and regular tournament play—but the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. I have never seen a course in such poor cosmetic condition. There appears to be zero pride taken in the upkeep of what should be the country club’s crown jewel. Weeds dominate the fairways, the grass is often uncut and dying, trees remain broken, and cracked concrete lines the paths. Walking the course early in the morning or late in the day feels less like a relaxing escape and more like a tour through abandonment. The most disturbing example of this neglect is on Hole 8, where a dead duck was left untouched for over two weeks. Despite countless maintenance carts passing by, it remained there until scavengers took care of it—leaving only feathers. A simple cleanup job, completely ignored. Even worse is the silence from management. I have sent emails, made phone calls, and extended offers to help, yet not once have I received a response. This level of disregard is unacceptable. What a waste of potential—and a waste of members’ money. The operations team is clearly underperforming, and whatever they are being paid, it’s far too much given the visible results. Members deserve far better for their investment in this club.

Pecan Grove is a gem! The facilities are solid, and the course layout is fantastic. The people here really make it a great experience, too. I’m excited to see what the future holds for this place!

Pecan Grove Plantation Christmas Light display is undeniably the best in Houston, surpassing even the renowned River Oaks Christmas lights. The dedication of each family in the neighborhood is evident in the meticulous attention to detail and the abundance of whimsical cartoon characters that adorn the streets. What sets Pecan Grove Plantation apart is the unique lighting structures at every house, creating a dazzling and beautiful spectacle. The neighborhood radiates holiday spirit, and the effort put into the decorations has lifted my Christmas joy to new heights. The diversity and creativity displayed by each house contribute to making Pecan Grove Plantation a true standout during the holiday season. I appreciated every moment of the light display, and so did my two puppies. Circling around the neighborhood for two hours allowed us to immerse ourselves in the unique charm brought to life by each home's lighting exhibition. Pecan Grove Plantation has become a must-visit tradition for me every year. A heartfelt thank you to the Pecan Grove Plantation community for their brilliant efforts. They've created a magical atmosphere that genuinely enhances the holiday season for everyone who has the pleasure of visiting. I sincerely appreciate their dedication and look forward to the joy they bring in the years to come.

Currently this course is in rough shape. I’ve never played here beforehand and based on its current condition, I’m not sure I’ll be back. The fairways are rough, going through construction, and the it’s very easy to lose a golf ball if it rolls in to the rough.
