My husband and I had our wedding reception at Canyon Creek Country Club this June and I couldn’t recommend them more. We needed to find a venue last minute due to our original plan falling through and Rose was incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire process from beginning to end. Their meeting space was absolutely gorgeous and Rose perfectly captured the image we had in mind for our event. We took some photos outside and the golf course in the background was stunning. We loved how we could decorate the pre-function area with photos to make our event feel as personalized as possible. I couldn’t recommend them enough, Rose and her team were incredible to work with and I’m so glad that we got to spend such a special day here. Thank you guys so much for everything!

I’ve never felt more disrespected or singled out at a golf club in my career. While preparing for the Women’s U.S. Open Qualifier, I was asked to leave mid-practice round simply for wearing a tank top without a collar—despite the fact that multiple women around me were wearing similar (or even less formal) tops with no issue whatsoever. The dress code enforcement was not only inconsistent, it felt blatantly targeted. I expected professionalism and fairness from a course hosting a USGA qualifier. Instead, I was given two options; wear possibly the most hideous over sized polo with stains, and several buttons missing, coming apart at the seams or be pulled from preparation due to arbitrary enforcement clearly not applied equally. When asked what was wrong with the shirt I had on, no answer could be given 😭. Extremely disappointing for a young female golfer. You would think after all that the course would be in good condition, but the fairways obviously haven’t seen a sprinkler in weeks, with ground under repair areas every other hole. It’s 2025 and it’s very obvious courses and clubs like this are stuck in the past. Honestly just be better. If there was a serious problem with my criminally offensive tank top you could’ve told me when I walked in the golf pro shop, not send a cart boy to follow me through the seventh hole where my options where obviously limited. When I finished up my round I saw a man hitting on the range in gym shorts and a t shirt. There was no dress code written anywhere for the qualifiers to read and they obviously didn’t have a problem with anyone else wearing whatever they want.

We came in from Louisiana for the USGA Women’s Open Qualifier, excited as always to be back in Texas—a state that has always treated us well through many years of competitive golf. Unfortunately, that streak ended with this experience. During her practice round, my 17-year-old daughter—who was there *alone* preparing for one of the biggest events of her life—was *bullied* by the staff. Despite wearing a Lululemon **golf-specific tank** (common among junior and all female players), the staff *singled her out* to enforce their “collared shirt” rule. Not only was this rule *not posted or enforced consistently*, but it was applied *only to her*—long after she'd already spent over an hour practicing and was several holes into her round. There was nothing stated in the host TGA tournament rules and or in their dress code literature as well. The excuse? Her outfit was making *"the membership uncomfortable."* Really? A 17-year-old girl, quietly preparing for a US Open qualifier, made your members uncomfortable—yet not a word was said to the many others wearing similar apparel? It’s beyond disrespectful; it’s discriminatory. To make matters worse, they didn’t speak to her respectfully or give her a proper explanation. Instead, the cart staff *intimidated her*, and she was forced to cover up with an ill-fitting polo like she’d done something wrong. She attempted to speak with the head pro—who didn’t have the decency or courage to face her. Absolutely shameful. And here’s the kicker: come *tournament day*, the so-called dress code? **Not enforced at all.** Collared shirts? Nowhere to be seen on plenty of players. Even the women’s merchandise in the shop is largely collarless. So what was this really about? If I could give negative stars, I would. This club clearly hasn’t grown with the game, and they certainly don’t know how to treat young women athletes with the respect.
