My buddy and I booked an 8:30 tee time. On the way, the train that runs through town was completely stopped and we had no way around. We called ahead to let them know we would be late and what to do. The lady at the clubhouse told us she would make a note that we would be late and that she could move our tee time to 9:40. We drove around the train finally and arrived 8 minutes late and was told we could not tee off and that we have to be moved to the 9:40. She said we were told that on the phone as well, but was never told that, just that it might. We were then told that we might be charged a green fee at 8:30, but if we had canceled when we called before hand we wouldn’t have. If we stayed to play at 9:40 we would’ve possibly been charged double. She said the manager processes green fees on Monday so we would not know until then if we get charged.

A few years ago this was one of the best golf courses in the area. Fast forward four years and now an absolute goat patch. What changed. Little to no grass in the fairways, greens are full of low cut weeds and some sand and gravel. The best greens on the course are the two temporary greens that have been there for two years. The carts are all falling apart and half of them backfire. The real kicker is they really think charging 48 bucks on the weekend is all good. They are the only game in town and really don't seem to care about providing a quality experience. I have played on worse courses but would expect to pay around 20 bucks for a course of this quality.

Nice golf course. It is not as well maintained as it should be, but the course itself is great for your game. Ladies tees (red) have an advantage which is good and the color coding for tees is very clear. You can ride the golf cart to your ball except where prohibited which is clearly indicated. Better signage for those new to the course would be great, but overall the course is enjoyable. Some of the bridges need work, but the cart path is well maintained. Some of the ladies tee boxes were sandy, making it difficult for a steady tee. Pace was great, the views beautiful, and staff were cordial.

If I had two more hands, I’d vote this place four thumbs down. The pro shop attendant, her name eludes me, is the most unfriendly, unaccommodating person. The last time we played, we got stiffed on rain checks. (Yes, I know how rain checks work.) I could go on and on about my prior experiences here. I’d rather throw my clubs in the pond than play here again. They do not care to serve customers. They do not care about anything. Seriously, go elsewhere. The course has potential but the humans are horrendous.

We were twice rushed by the course "marshal" who stated people were complaining that we were not letting other fast golfers pass us. We were never holding anyone up or asked by any other golfer to pass. Which as a common courtesy we have always done at any course. I am a father of two young boys teaching them the game. I told the "marshal" that no one was even close behind us much less asked to pass! He stuck to his story both times rushing us. He came up as we were loading to leave to apologize because he found out it was the group behind us that was slowing pace. I told the lady at the clubhouse we should be compensated for harassment. She just gave a fake smile and said "all we can do is apologize which is what he did thank you" DO NOT PLAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE A SPEED GOLFER AND LIKE BEING BELITTLED BY THE STAFF. OH AND THE BATHROOMS BELONG AT A FOOTBALL GAME. DISGUSTING. ONE STAR WAS GENEROIS IN MY OPINION.
