Angry bald lady at the front was extremely rude and unaccommodating. We had a tee time for 8am and were going to be a few minutes late so we called and told the pro shop. We showed up at 8:03 and she made us reschedule the tee time for 10am, which she did not say on the phone. The tee time for 10am was double booked and ended up having 7 people teeing off at that time. There was multiple groups of 6+ playing and even a group of 8. The group of 8 had one of the course Marshall’s playing with them and they were driving onto the green and not following the 90 degree rule. They also were blocking us from playing through and purposefully blocking us from driving to our balls. The price here is also ridiculous for how terrible the condition of the course is. The greens are as hard as concrete and the bunkers are as wet as a swimming pool. This course is awful and has some of the most miserable employees.

The absolute disrespect and attitude from the bald lady that we have continuously received is beyond me.i had an 8 am tee time and we walk into the pro shop at 8:03 after calling and letting them know we would be 3 minutes late she doesn’t greet us or try and help us instead ask us if we are aware that other people want to play as well. she then tells us if we want to play it has to be at 10 am. we reluctantly agreed and then sat in the car for 2 hours while we waited for the 10 am time, we ended up teeing off with 6 other people at 9:50 and eventually got behind a group of 7. these group of 7 worked for the course and were driving all over tee boxes and even driving the cart onto the green. we asked if we could play through because the pace of play we were on was over 5 hours and they refused even drove out of their way to pick up/throw balls we hit from the tee box with them on the green. not to mention i paid 55 dollars for a tee time this morning and the course is in horrible shape. i do not recommend this course and i used to love this course.

Good value. Greens were in good shape. Tee box good shape. Some fairways could use some work

Extremely Unprofessional and Disrespectful Experience This was by far one of the worst golf experiences I’ve ever had. My friend and I had just teed off on the first hole when a course marshal came speeding up to us—less than 2 minutes in—and rudely told us to hurry up. He claimed my friend took "more than one minute" to find his ball, which somehow justified interrupting us right at the start of our round. Despite the completely unnecessary tone, we politely acknowledged him and continued playing. We sped up our pace and later asked to play through a group of six players. They had no issue with it—until we met Ed. Ed was aggressive, confrontational, and smelled strongly of alcohol. He blocked us from getting to our balls, berated us for playing "too fast," and threatened to call the marshal again. After trying to de-escalate the situation and talk with Ed we found out he was actually an employee at this course. We tried to be respectful, even introduced ourselves, but Ed was too busy being rude and insisted we leave at once. At that point, we decided to leave—coming to the conclusion that arguing with a possibly intoxicated staff member would not benefit anyone. This course clearly has serious problems with staff professionalism and basic etiquette. Not to mention the price was extremely unreasonable for a course of that caliber (low). I won’t be coming back, and I strongly recommend others think twice before coming here.

I had one of the worst golf experiences I’ve ever had at Pecan Lakes. My group paid for 9 holes with the understanding we could settle the balance if we decided to continue. We were enjoying our round and chose to keep playing, but by the 12th hole, we were stopped by a man named Ed who was not only rude but downright disrespectful. He aggressively demanded a receipt without even stating who he was. I guess he worked there? completely disregarded my respectful explanation that it was my first time at this course, and even after I apologized, he dismissed me and told us to leave and pay for the 18 holes even though he was kicking us off at hole 12? We were willing to pay for the 18 right then and there if they wanted us too but not when they’re kicking us out and being disrespectful. Not to mention the course is the same price as A&M yet the fairways were patchy and there wasn’t a square foot of green that didn’t have weeds in it. Will not recommend to anyone. Worst experience I’ve ever had!
