This was my first time playing this course. And ohh am I'm hooked. What a well kept course. The green were very consistent. Fairways borderline with gorgeous trees. And lots of trouble. And you will need to position your ball for the next shot a lot of blind spots and there's no hole the same. Just what a awesome course. And wait the staff was amazing. I didn't have a tee time in the Pro Shop got me out. So if you haven't played here I would definitely suggest you check it out!!!

My buddy and his daughter drove nearly an hour to play a round with me, only to have the course deny his 6-year-old daughter the chance to ride along. She wasn’t even playing—just wanted to be part of the day with her dad. Apparently, unless a kid is 10 or older, they can’t ride for free, and even then, if you’re already a foursome, they’re not allowed to tag along at all. We were willing to pay the extra fee just so she could be with us and not even play, but still got shut down due to their strict “group of four only” policy. It’s sad. As a father myself, you dream of the day your kid wants to come to the course with you—and when that day finally comes, dumb rules like this crush that moment. Golf talks a big game about growing with the next generation, but this place clearly missed that memo. We’ve played plenty of rounds here in the past, but after this experience, won’t be coming back.

I need to give credit where credit is due. I've been playing this course off and on for 25+ years. It has certainly had its ups and downs (like all courses), but I was certainly impressed with the course today. This review is regarding my round on 7/27/2025. First of all, the $52 weekend green fees are certainly reasonable compared to the going rate at a variety of DFW courses. I found my golf cart to be in pretty good shape, and it had the yardage/GPS screens included. I've paid plenty more than that at other courses without the GPS perk. There were also additional storage cubbies near the roof of the cart. The staff was great. I wasn't two steps into the clubhouse and was greetly nicely by the staff. The cart girl came around at least 4 times during the round, which was welcomed in this Texas heat. I can tell there has been some money and work poured into the course recently (maybe the last year or few years). All of the cart paths were smooth, and the areas surrounding tee boxes/fairways are "kept up" a lot more than I remember. Sightlines have improved (for example, blue tee box on 7 to the green looks great; tee box on 4 to the fairway is a more player-friendly angle/view than it used to be). The fairways were in great shape (especially with the heat they are exposed to and compared to several other DFW courses at this time). The greens were rolling really well too. This course has some strong/fun tests, including the 220 yard, downhill par 3 next to the Lake Arlington dam; the down-and-up dogleg right par 4 12th; the 8th hole where you can try and drive over the trees for an easier 2nd shot. The course is also friendly as there are zero sand bunkers, and I can't recall any forced carries. To sum it up, I'd say this is course is one of the best values in DFW. For $52 (weekend rate), you'd be hard pressed to show me another course that can hold up to the value in Lake A's hole variety, solid conditions, and friendly staff... and don't forget the GPS! The course staff and maintenance crew deserve some credit.

Course is well maintained and they charge a very fair price for the product they offer. A couple holes with some elevation make you forget you’re in Texas. Very pleased

Great course. Pretty open fairways for novices like me. Par 3 at the lake dam is a scenic hole, but deceiving. Back nine is much tougher than the front.
