Crystal Falls in Leander is a friendly place with a challenging canyon course. A few times I've used the Golf Now App to play 18 holes for $36 before tax and fees. Springtime golf is when the courses in the Austin area are a lush green. The topography and elevations make the course a special treat. This course never gets boring and always keeps me thinking course management. The pro shop is well supplied. The golf carts have convenient GPS, but no USB plugs. They have recently contracted with the Cork and Barrel restaurant for their food services. The food is very good and the menu has plenty of options. I have enjoyed the Smash Burger, the Fish and Chips and yesterday I grabbed a hot dog to go between the 9th and 10th holes.

We secured a tee time online with their stated price. When we get there, they raised the price; and they did it with a smug face knowing we wouldn't walk away for $12. Terrible customer service. The course itself has gone downhill. It used to be a good course considering the drive to get out there. Greens were bumpy. They've been in better shape. The pace of play is horrible. We quit after 9 holes. No marshalls to speed up play. I thought I saw one marshall fishing out golf balls in a pond. We were headed for a 6 hour round. No thanks. Overall, it was a terrible experience. We will not be returning for a while if at all. Hope they can fix the problems because that course has a lot of potential.

Beautiful! Resort style. Staff is friendly. Prices are great. There is no extra fee for their amazing carts that has so many extras. Looking forward to my next trip. Highly recommend. Thank you Crystal Falls Golf Club! Finger snaps & Golf claps šŸ‘ šŸ™Œ šŸ˜Ž

Pros: Challenging, well-designed layout: Most holes were clearly thought out and offered a fun mix of strategy and shot-making. Well-maintained facilities: The clubhouse, and amenities were in good repair. Modern carts with video screens: Carts worked well and the hole-by-hole video guide was a helpful touch. Cons: Poor course conditions: Fairways were weedy, and greens were patchy with hot spots and bare dirt. Playability suffered. No range access before 10am: Not being able to warm up before a morning tee time is ridiculous. This wasn’t disclosed at booking, and no alternate warm-up options (like nets) were offered. Chipping/putting area was too small and overcrowded. Unhelpful staff: The pro shop’s response to reasonable questions about course conditions and range access was dismissive and off-putting. Bottom line: The course layout has potential, but the value just isn’t there. Between rough playing conditions, tone-deaf staff, and no proper warm-up access, it’s hard to justify a return visit.

It is pretty and well maintained golf course with quite a bit of challenge. There are no bunkers but don’t be fooled to think it is easy course. Tight fairways and lots of hills give quite a bit of challenge that costs some golf balls.
