The location, the weather, the scenery and the service were absolutely 5+ star. We loved the hill country and the setting that this resort presented to us. The room needed a lot of maintenance and upgrading. I'm sure that 10-20 years ago, this was a 5 star room, but it was dark and dank. It was spacious but everything was 20+ years old. The dining room and club house were top of the line as was the service. Friendliest people you would ever meet. It was a good trip.

As the star rating suggests, the location is beautiful—but the overall experience was extremely frustrating. Dinner took over three hours for our party of six, including two children. Staff mentioned they were very busy, but the number of empty tables suggested otherwise. If you’re planning to dine here and have a tee time or other commitments during the day, be prepared for delays. Most of the staff were kind, but we did have a negative encounter with one employee who was rude to a family member for eating a to-go breakfast at a patio table. Overall, given the nightly rate to stay here, the experience should have been much better.

I attended the Whey Jennings concert this past weekend. It was my first time at the resort and it was fantastic. Our server Walter was great. He has a dry sense of humor but hilarious nonetheless and exceptional service. The manager Beverly was so helpful as well as another manager Nina. We didn’t have the opportunity to see the rooms but we walked the facility and it’s great. The greens are are a tad less than expected but I was told it’s being taken care of. I’m looking forward to playing on the course soon. The food was tasty, service was great, band was fantastic.

Not really worth the price we paid for the room and meals. Room: got there about 30 minutes before check in time, but the room wasn't ready. We walked around the property in the meantime. The room wasn't ready until 10min after check in time. The room was alright. Staying at a LaQuinta Inn would have been more of an upgrade, to be honest. Pieces of the tile in the room were laying on the floor. Saw a roach in the bathroom at night. I didn't notice it until my daughter pointed it out on the floor. Overall, the room was a 2/5. Staff were pretty welcoming. Food at the restaurant was good but super pricey. Literally paid over $200 for dinner (2 adults and 1 toddler). It was tasty but not worth the price. All in all everything was pricey... from the food to the drinks to an ice cream bar. The pool was nice. 2 pools in 1 area. 1 for adults and 1 for kids. I liked the set up and bar nearby. The golf course nearby was a nice view from the restaurant and the live music was sweet at dinner.

My parents stayed at the resort for an extended stay for medical reasons and they were so very pleased with their experience. The staff was incredibly accommodating to their special needs and ensuring that they were cared for during the entire stay. The resort is located about 30 minutes North of the Medical Center and is a beautiful drive through Texas Hill Country, even passing ranches with beautiful exotic animals. The resort was a great option to escape the congestion of the city and offered all the amenities for a comfortable, extended stay.
