The location, the weather, the scenery and the service were absolutely 5+ star. We loved the hill country and the setting that this resort presented to us. The room needed a lot of maintenance and upgrading. I'm sure that 10-20 years ago, this was a 5 star room, but it was dark and dank. It was spacious but everything was 20+ years old. The dining room and club house were top of the line as was the service. Friendliest people you would ever meet. It was a good trip.

I attended the Whey Jennings concert this past weekend. It was my first time at the resort and it was fantastic. Our server Walter was great. He has a dry sense of humor but hilarious nonetheless and exceptional service. The manager Beverly was so helpful as well as another manager Nina. We didn’t have the opportunity to see the rooms but we walked the facility and it’s great. The greens are are a tad less than expected but I was told it’s being taken care of. I’m looking forward to playing on the course soon. The food was tasty, service was great, band was fantastic.

The hotel is nestled in a breathtaking location with stunning scenery that truly enhances the overall experience. The staff is exceptionally accommodating and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile, which made our stay feel welcoming. However, the rooms are in dire need of renovation. The restroom door in our room would only open halfway, making it inconvenient to use. The hair dryer plug had a short and appeared to be falling apart, posing a safety concern. The tile in the room is chipped and creates a hazard for your feet, requiring careful navigation to avoid injury. Additionally, the air conditioner did not work well, leaving the room feeling humid and warm. The restaurant experience was disappointing. Our order was messed up three times, which was frustrating. The menu lacks variety, offering limited options for guests. Most concerning, the food quality was subpar and lacked flavor, leaving much to be desired. Overall, while the beautiful surroundings and kind staff are highlights, the outdated rooms, hazardous tiling, and poor dining experience significantly detract from the stay. Improvements in these areas would make a huge difference.

First time at this resort, my friends and I took a little weekend getaway to the Hill Country. we were able to get a late check in Friday evening and had dinner at the resort, food was perfect and the drinks were phenomenal. There was a woman’s golf tournament going on that weekend,so it was pretty cool watching some of them compete. We had to get a 4:30 PM tee time which was plenty of time to get all 18 holes in. Great course to play at, can’t wait to go back.

We bought a package through travelzoo for $129. It included 2 breakfasts and 2 s'more packages. Thats pretty much what it's worth. It was a comfortable and cozy stay but, like other reviewers, the rooms are dated and wirn down. Our room had a strong bleach smell so we aired out our room while we went to dinner. It was gone by the time we returned. We did not have experience with dinner but the menu wasn't of interest to us: very heavy food. We did have breakfast and the food was pretty good. They have oatmeal for their lighter fair, everything else is standard heavy egg dishes. I think they were very understaffed that morning as it took several minutes, maybe up to 10 to be seated without any recognition from the waitstaff that we would be assisted shortly. Once we were seated, the waitress was pleasant and helpful. The check-in staff was very helpful and friendly as well. It looks like it's a nice place for families as their were little kids running around with their parents. I wouldn't spend more than $130 to stay here but I'm glad we went. The location is nice and the staff are pleasant. It's unfortunate the rooms are as old as they are. It has the potential to be a great resort if they remodel their rooms.
