Rio Colorado is a solid, playable course that offers a pleasant golfing experience. I wouldn't call it the best or worst course I've ever played - it's simply a decent, enjoyable round of golf. The course is aesthetically pleasing and I really enjoyed watching the wildlife that roams throughout the property during our round. The fairways are nicely maintained and in good condition. The only disappointment was the greens, which were quite fuzzy and played very slow when we visited. I'm not sure if they were doing maintenance work on them, but they were noticeably below par compared to the rest of the course conditions. Overall, Rio Colorado is a good choice for a casual round. The natural beauty and wildlife sightings make it an enjoyable experience, assuming the green conditions improve.

New management is really making this place great. The golf course layout is really amazing and unique. They are investing in the course and will really improve.

This course is beautiful. I enjoy coming out here and watching my daughter come out here and golf with her school. It has been a treat to come out here and enjoy the peacefulness of the course.

I’ve played here about 6 times over the years. I don’t live in the area but I visit fairly often. I enjoy playing at Rio Colorado. It’s a nice layout and it has been in good condition the times I’ve played there. (Except in the middle of a drought about 15 years ago.) The 16th is one of my favorite holes on any golf course that I’ve played. I play on weekdays and the pace of play is excellent. The people in the golf shop are friendly and the food is good. If I lived nearby, I would play it regularly.

Nice little course. It was my first time playing there and had a little trouble finding some of the holes, but we figured it out. Green fees with cart was $45 for a 0915 tee time on a Tuesday.
