Having played many of the local public courses in the midsouth area for 15 years, and having been a member at a local private club in Collierville for 3 years, I can absolutely say that Fair Oaks is one of my favorite courses to play. The conditions are always amazing, but the staff and owner/management is top tier. When I play now, Fair Oaks is my first choice.

Was a member of a private club in Collierville, but left due to poor condition of the courses and the clubhouse. Played numerous local public courses and now that I found Fair Oaks, I have a new home course. Course was in great shape and the staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. From the moment we arrived until we left we felt like we belonged. Everyone went out of their way to make our experience great. Well organized and managed. Reasonably priced and a fun track. Pace of play was great. Can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great day!

*** time for an update*** I’ll leave original review below. The course is in excellent shape!!! There are some bunkers that need more sand no doubt, that is the only knock on this course right now. IT IS IN GREAT SHAPE and we just finished a round in less than four hours here on a Sunday morning. We left Memphis National as members and will be playing here more often now, if they keep it up I’ll continue to update the stars/review. The staff here is still great. Greens are rolling so true and pure now. I’ve lived in Oakland about 3 miles from the course for 2 years and play golf at least once a week, usually two or more times… but Fair Oaks is so poorly managed I rarely ever play there. It was 62 and sunny today and per usual, their driving range was closed, it’s closed more often than it is open. Whenever I play here you can nearly guarantee it’s going to be 4+ hrs and waiting all day long on the course because they jam it pack full of tee times. Last year, 2023, the course was noticeably worse condition than it was in 2022. It would be a one star review but because the people are nice and they have a decent clubhouse for snacks and drinks at the turn, they get 2 stars. I WISH THEY WOULD OPEN THE RANGE MORE AND STOP PACKING THE SCHEDULE. The track is easy and fun to play.

Course in decent shape. But one particular member of the staff makes it much less enjoyable. Not you, Jason. First class guy right there! Won’t say names but I will say ask for Jason. Much better experience!

I Had Chicken Alfredo, the food was great and the service was better than expected and they are very kind and make you feel at home. The Filet Mignon was very good as well.
