I call this my "home" course because I live about 15 mins away. Its where I honed in my skills as beginner amd learned how to cpurse manage and club selection. Lots of wide open fairways and straight forward holes. Perfect for a beginner player. Water comes into play a couple times, the most being on hole 7 to the right and to the right on hole 13. The greens are fast but roll well. Hole 13 is very pretty with the mountain range in the background and river to the right. Good pace of play during the week, friendly staff, good beer and beverage options, and a pretty good chicken salad sandwich. Fair prices and a fun experience.

We had a fun quick morning round here before our show day. Close to downtown Chattanooga, budget friendly and an exceptionally welcoming staff made this a great stop on our #golfjam tour. We look forward to visiting again.

I've been playing here for a couple of years now. I like the course because it is very inexpensive, the fairways are extremely wide and forgiving and they work very hard to keep it in the best possible condition. Things to consider (not complaints just trying to help others set expectations): • It can get busy. I generally don't have to wait for more than 1 group in front of me and this has been rare. I usually play on Friday afternoons. • Frequently cart path only (sometimes even if it hasn't rained for a day or 2). The course is flat and an easy walk if it's not too hot. I used to get ticked about this but I realize it's for the best as they are trying to keep the fairways in good shape. • THEY MAY NOT ALLOW GUEST RIDERS. I ran into this myself earlier this year when I brought my wife and was turned away. Last week there was a guy there arguing with the guy in the pro shop. I've seen at least one post on Google with this complaint. Call before you show up to see if they have room for guest riders. I've seen people with kids and others that don't appear to be playing on other occasions so I believe they try to accommodate when possible. DON'T BLAME THE WORKERS IF YOU DON'T PLAN AHEAD! • If you are a single cart rider you may be asked to ride with a stranger. • Smell from the wastewater treatment plant can be bad at times. • NICE NEW CARTS!!! • Decent driving range and nice practice areas for putting and chipping • Good selection of food and drinks in the café for a public course • Nice views of Lookout Mountain and, along the 13th hole, the river.

Pretty straightforward holes but inexpensive and in good condition at least in early May. Will definitely play again Update: course conditions actually seem to continue to improve, but price remains reasonable. Good work by new management

Moccasin Bend is in excellent shape! We played here on a Friday morning and it was very busy! We had a tee time for 10:10 and tee’d off at exactly 10:10! The staff is welcoming and friendly!
