Description

In the southern Black Hills, Rocky Knolls threads through Ponderosa pines with postcard views and sneaky elevation change. Tee shots demand a shape and a window; stray and you're chipping out. Greens are compact and can get lively when firm, rewarding precise approaches. The par-3s play a club longer when the breeze spills down the hillsides. It's a characterful, walkable test that feels bigger than the scorecard.

The course is a 9 hole course but we played it twice. The staff was great and the course was in unbelievable condition. Great tee boxes and best greens I have been on this season. Plus the views from any angle was incredible.

Nice to have a beautiful laid-back golf course in a small town. Town's only 2,000 yet has plenty of restaurants, sightseeing and things to do in the area. Photos show some nice day trips, or free camping in the National Forest.

This course requires good course management for the first few holes and allows for smash and go on the back half. Something for everyone. The greens are in great shape and unbelievably soft. They do play very slow. This will be on my itinerary every time i visit the area

Nice 9 hole course. They don't tell you there are only 9 holes and you replay those 9 if you pay for 18 holes. And they do not give refunds when you find this out too late. Know before you go.

Well maintained in a nice setting. Greens are slow with lots of slope Everyone is pleasant and courteous, the only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the fees.I think its a little overpriced even though it is a tourist area.
