Description

Formerly known as Crowfield, Berkeley CC is a George Cobb design woven through mature pines in Moncks Corner. The parkland routing shows Cobb's hallmark green sites elevated putting surfaces with subtle fall-offs that test short games. It's a balanced par-72 with reachable fives, stout par fours and a couple of exacting threes. Practice amenities include a full driving range. Back tees are listed around 6,696 yards with a rating/slope about 72.2/127.

Let me start by saying I love this track. Fairways and tee boxes can be inconsistent but the greens are for the most part always fast and pure. The staff has always been friendly and it is conveniently located near the Cane Bay Plantation sub-development. In season the course can be overpriced but with the few courses available in the immediate area I get the laws of supply and demand. The course is open and forgiving in many areas which makes it a great course for golfers of all skill levels. This is the home course for the Berkeley High School golf team and the team has always had the ability to practice and walk the course for free until a recent policy change. I don't complain much and seldom write a Google review unless it is due to having an exceptional experience but this just doesn't sit well with me at all. I don't mind paying $80 to ride 18 on a weekend as an adult, but to charge a high school golfer $50 to play on a weekday is absurd. It seems other courses locally are doing their part in promoting the game of golf for the youth but not Berkeley CC. Crowfield's junior rate is $20, 7 days a week. Summerville CC lets HS golfers play for $5 as do most of the courses in Santee. There are over 15 courses in Myrtle Beach (with average greens fees of $100) where juniors under the age of 18 can play for free. Even though it is the BHS home course, I wouldn't raise an eye at a $15 or $20 rate for the team to play with free range balls but $50 to play and $15 for a range bucket is near criminal. Would love to give this place 5 stars but have to give it 1. Shame on whoever implemented this new policy!

Not a bad course. Descent layout for most part greens descent but there were some patchy ones. Tee boxes descent and fairways were as well. People very nice in clubhouse and bar/grill. Lot of play teed off around noon close to 5 hour round. Only other issue with a lot of play some of the holes were side by side and other groups had a tendency to hit your balls. Fun course.

We played this course yesterday. We got paired with a gentleman,Mike, who was a pleasure to play with and a great ambassador for the course. It was a great time. The staff was professional and courteous. The rates were great! It was quite busy but the pace of play was wonderful. The course is spectacular with all the old oak trees. So beautiful. Well maintained. We will be playing this course again. Thank you all.

fun course for what it is! it is very forgiving for those who play army golf. probably a great course to get a young one or amateur. some confidence should be able to play some about anywhere and minimal hazards when it comes to water. some great par3s! the greens are actually in better condition than most of the other courses around, unless you're going to the high dollar private ones that is always a perk. friendly pro shop. nice clubhouse. highly recommend

This place was absolutely beautiful. I didn't record a video or take enough pics to show the true beauty of this place. We attended an outdoor wedding, as you can see in the pics but the reception was also on the property and it was just as beautiful. It wasn't wheelchair or handicapped accessible, unfortunately. A few men had to help lift a senior and her portable motor chair up lots of steps. An elevator, lift or ramp was needed for those with wheelchairs, motorized chairs, walkers or canes.
