Great course and staff. Greens had been top dressed so wasn't 'perfect'. We did feel we were waiting on every shot with a group in front of us that were not playing ready golf and no marshall rounding. Good overall experience and a top island course.

One of the more under-rated courses on the island. It’s an interesting layout and always in great shape when I’ve played it. Reasonably priced and they offer local rates if you present a local ID. I like how this course requires a number of different shot types, particularly flighted down iron shots as many approaches will be blocked by trees if you’re not in the correct spot off the tee. Wanted to give a shout out to Alan at the bag drop. He was busting his hump and his attention to detail and work ethic did not go unnoticed, from taking our clubs out of the truck to making sure every last drop of water was wiped down from the cart before we got in to thoroughly cleaning our clubs and loading them up when we were finished. We didn’t have to lift a finger. He left a very favorable impression as the first and last person we interacted with at the course.

We loved the entire experience from the practice facilities to the allagators in the ponds. This course is a beauty. I took my 10 year old son here and got a great deal to play 9. He was finding the fairways the entire time. This course plays long and wide. You would hardly know there were homes lining it's fairways. The carts were nicely maintained as were the holes. Best of all there was availability with a easy booking the day before. I would definitely play here again.

Simi Private club with very good service. Were they cell short is their greens were rock hard. Except for the 18th green. They also had the cart markers 100plis yards from some greens, so of course no one was fixing their diviots and from. 100 yards in the condition of the fairways showed it. Inconsistent sand traps. Some were fluffy and soft. Mostly towards the clubhouse. The holes further away from the clubhose had some sand traps that were rock hard. Great course design and fun layout. Needs better maintenance to be comsidered a good course in Hilton Head.

We did not tee off until 2pm due to personal obligations and not able to play all 18 holes. The day is just not long enough during the month of January. Prior to the first tee, I had to load up the cooler. I have celiac so a little difficult at times. I normally drink High Noon but they were out. The only brand available is a brand that I swore never to drink. Prior to moving to HHI, I lived in NJ for 20+ years and a member of a golf course for 15 years. Every Saturday and Sunday our 4some teed off 7am and finished 10:30 at the latest, the a couple of us normally had drinks until 3pm. We would have 12 to 16 people with tables pulled together and someone would come over and ask if we had ever tasted this brand. My buddy's response was always no, but my girlfriend says they are really good. Needless to say the person would slowly stand and walk away. The brand is White Claw and I must admit, the strawberry are pretty good. The course winds through the neighborhood which is not a bad thing, just a statement. The greens were full and rolled well. The fairways were also in great shape. I would like to play again and finish. It is an enjoyable course with a lot of dogleg. But not the type of dogleg where you can only hit a 5 iron. These are driver dogleg holes, so you are not laying up. The pace was fine until you arrive at the first par 3, which I believe is hole #3. There is a backup due to the tee box for #4 is about 150 yards away and an errant push or slice may take someone down om the par 3 tee box. Then the course opens up again and the pace is fine. Great bartender and nice course. Looking forward to playing again with an earlier time.
