Description

Ingleside is a public 18 that feels like a throwback in a good way—compact yardage, efficient pacing, and a round that’s decided by precision rather than power. The course is especially good for sharpening scoring skills because you’ll see a steady diet of short-to-mid iron approaches and plenty of makeable birdie chances if you’re in position. But it will still punish sloppy swings, since tighter lines and green-side misses can quickly turn into scramble mode. It’s also a strong league course because it’s repeatable: you learn preferred lines quickly, then spend the season trying to execute them better. Overall, Ingleside is “honest golf”—accessible, strategic, and perfect for golfers who want to score through control.

Friendly staff and helpful staff. They run a 5 holes for 7 bucks after 6pm (time probably varies by team of year) which is a good deal. The greens are pretty ripped up, Geese shit abound, and the cart paths are reminiscent of any PA road, but if you are doing the 7 bucks its not bad. A few pretty cool holes too, I forget if Its 10 or 11 but the one with the steps is a fun one and the lake on hole 2 is fun. Overall a place I'm glad to have locally.

This place has hilariously bad reviews but I saw a golfnow deal for $20 so I figured I'd try it out. I got there and the guy at the pro shop asked if I'd been there before, I said no, then he offered to give me a quick tour, which is honestly super helpful. I've been to many places before where you say you've never been here and they just vaguely point to the direction of the first tee and say have fun. Now, on to the course. There's signs around the place that basically say they're transitioning a lot of the bunkers back to grass and to just take free relief since its ground under repair. Easy enough. Tee boxes are a bit beat up but I always managed to find a bit of grass. Fairways and rough were really well taken care of especially considering the time of year. Greens are where I had the biggest problem, a lot of them are great, but a few have some patchy spots that made long putts over them bumpy and unpredictable. I'm not a good enough golfer to complain about conditions so I still had a ton of fun. Pace of play was great, I was by myself, never saw anyone else until I ran into a 2some on 12. I tried to pass them but they were playing pretty quick and they kept that up the whole rest of the way even with me behind them as a single, never had to wait more than 5 mins to hit a shot. Overall a pretty nice course, standout hole for me was 10. It does look like they're actively improving the course, so I'm excited to see where it goes. That said, if you're a snob for pristine conditions maybe just play somewhere else for now.

The holes are unique and provide a good challenge for beginners to the experienced pros. Holes 3 and 4 are a lot of fun. This might not be the best maintained greens, but that doesn't matter. The course is fun and that's what makes this place great. If you can overlook that the greens aren't perfect and the lack of good food options, this is a great golfing spot. I do recommend getting a bite to eat first if you're doing all 18 holes.

Hideous. They should be embarrassed charging $49 to play that dump. I wouldn’t play this course again for free. Do yourself a favor and drive to Turtle Creek in Limerick and spend $9 more for near perfect conditions.

We played here a year ago and because of “group golfer” discounts we came back. What a waste of time. This place could be a gem if the maint crew (if there is one) would only half try to do their job. We had a hard time determining the rough from the fairways. A lot of the greens were barely playable with crabgrass and bare spots throughout. Sandtraps had absolutely no sand in them. Only weeds. Dont know why they had rakes in them. Nothing to rake! We understand that the place is owned by the local county or town. They should be ashamed of the way it is run.
