Love the layout. Little pricey for how removed it is and the condition of course and carts. Carts have strict gps which will have you walking where you could definitely ride. Needs some tlc on every hole.

The western part of PA has had an enormous amount of rain the past 2 weeks and more than a bit of flash flooding. Despite those conditions, Strawberry Ridge was lush and in very good shape, any ponding was only on the bumpy/beat up cart path. The greens/fairways and tee box’s were all in very good shape. There are a few holes that I can’t decide if I like or not such as the downhill par 5, 2nd hole, that is definitely a 3 shot hole at less than 500 yards due to its narrowness and a pond at 190-220 yards out. The other hole that left me questioning the layout was the blind tee and approach shot on the short par 4, 13th hole. 1 blind shot on a hole is fine, not 2. I had not played the course in a few years and I did get turned around a bit even with the cart gps. Many cart paths cross and most holes are not numbered on the course. Please add more signage on the course. Everyone I encountered at strawberry ridge was friendly and helpful, from the GM in the pro shop to mtce folks on the course.

This is a good golf course that has SOO much going for it. It's not that far from being great. Really good layout and routing, scenic, and visually pleasing with great changes in elevation. The greens are in good condition and fast. The carts are modern and in great shape. Yardage markers are rare, so some improvements with yardage markers and better upkeep of the tee boxes and I would give the course another star.

Was driving north from Pittsburgh and Googled golf courses, this place had 4.3 stars. We decided to try it. 3 is pushing it. $53.00 for 18, should be $30 or so in it's current condition. It definitely needs work, cart paths are very rough and with missing asphalt. Many dog legs which should have markers but don't. Several very steep elevation changes which give you horrible blind shots. There are areas dug up for what looks like possible drainage work, but it looks like no one has touch them in quite some time.

Very good public course. Nice club house and bar/restaurant. Electric carts with the most annoying GPS screens I have experienced. Way too many areas where the cart will just shut down. Then there are the irritating ads that keep popping up. The course is very hilly. Well maintained. Lots of trees. Reasonable price. Adequate parking in a gravel lot. Nice driving range and practice green. Good staff. Despite the GPS fencing I plan to play here again. No, I am not exaggerating - some fenced off areas make no sense. Greens are challenging with lots of breaks. Bunker sand is quite good. This course will test your game. Worth a try.
