Bar Run is a great place to stay! We drove down from Washington, which took us about 5.5 hours. My wife and I found this RV park on Facebook last year and decided to give it a try—and we’re glad we did. We were running late to arrive on a Wednesday afternoon, and someone from the front desk actually called to check in and make sure we were still coming. That personal touch was much appreciated. The RV park itself is very new, clean, and well laid out. All of the spots are spacious and level, with plenty of room for RVs of any size. Some sites even have patches of turf or real grass. I picked a site that seemed perfect, but it ended up being right next to a working gravel yard. It operates during the weekdays until about 4 p.m., so it was a bit noisy during the day—but quiet after hours. The golf course is beautiful and well-maintained—I’m pretty sure it’s a links-style course. My wife and I played 9 holes early one morning around 7:20 a.m., and it was perfect. The weather had been in the high 90s leading up to our stay, so getting out before the heat was a big win. Bar Run also features a lazy river, a nice pool, and a snack shop where you can grab food, drinks, and even adult beverages. It’s a great spot to relax and cool off. That said, the area is pretty quiet, with not much to do beyond the park itself. If you’re not golfing or hanging by the pool, options are limited. We did manage to find a few local wineries and visited a couple, which was a nice way to spend an afternoon. If you’re from Oregon, it makes for a great weekend getaway. But coming from Washington, it’s a bit of a stretch for just a weekend trip. We stayed for five days, and that felt just right. Next time, we plan to stay for a couple of days and then continue our trip along the coast.

This was our first visit to this location and we were not disappointed. Clean facilities are friendly staff. We like the fact that you are surrounded by AG lands and not on a highway. The Golf course is non links course that we enjoyed playing. After a day on the course we headed to the pool and lazy river which is like a mini Waterpark to cool off. Very popular with the kids and adults alike. We had to book well over six months in advance. We will be back! Thank you!

This place is awesome! It is newer and very clean, spacious and off the beaten path. The golf course is beautiful and a little challenging.

The course was in good shape and the greens were well maintained. #16 has a retainer wall in front of the greenhouse 30-40 feet so even if you get there in 2 or 3 shots and are short, your ball will be stopped by the white concrete wall. I know the course was built on a large sand bar and the extra water from the river is trapped in several places but a retaining wall was not expected so close to the green! Good thing me and my friend were playing a leisurely round, but he couldn't keep the score for his handicap of 7 because the layout of the course still has some issues with moving sand and dirt from the location in some places of the river and man-made ponds . The pricing was a little steep @ $85/18 per player. Especially since the new course wasn't completely "READY" for playing. Some more engineering issues needs to be addressed before I play there again. Otherwise it was a beautiful course outside of Roseburg, OR to the west of the city. There were no "ROOMS" only RV pads and small modular buildings for two that looked like boxcars. The costs ranging from $330.95-395.95/ night. We stayed in a local motel in Roseburg for $125.00 including room tax. The service at the Pro Shop was excellent. The driving range was affordable but could use some upgrades for hitting longer clubs besides irons and hybrids. I don't know if they can retrieve balls hit with a driver? Overall, we had fun though and that was the most important part of our experience there.

I haves played there about three times and I enjoy the course. Love some of the challenging par 5’s and greens are tough which is also a great challenge. However I played there yesterday and was disappointed to see so many par 5 now par three due to the flooding this year. I understand nothing can be done to control Mother Nature but to still charge $50 for green fees given the current situation is a bit out of balance. Maybe there are trying to limit the number of golfers through pricing while the course recovers. Best to call ahead and see how many holes have temp tee boxes
