Description

Kinzua Hills is a remote 9-hole course in Fossil that offers old-school, rustic golf in a scenic high desert setting. It's rough around the edges but full of charm. No tee times or crowds just grab your clubs and play. A rare slice of Oregon golf history.

Always have a great time for over 10 yrs a bunch of us leave Spray rodeo grounds at 8 sharp(we wait for no one). Go to Kinzua for a quick, refreshing round, and still have time to get back for our rodeo duties.

The only 6-hole golf course that is recognized by the USGA west of Mississippi. The golf course is the only remnant of the company owned timbertown of Kinzua. The town was demolished in 1978. Secluded and quiet, the course is in the pine forest in beautiful Wheeler County. A little slice of heaven.

Have too much fun playing it up and down at one of a kind Kinzua Hills. Only USGA six hole golf course west of Mississippi. Depending on weather, course normally open from end of April to beginning of Oct. Historic Kinzua Hills Golf Course is what remains of former lumber mill company town that operated from 1928-1978. Golf course established in 1930 by owner and workers of Kinzua Corporation. Several years later, transformed into ball field for semi-pro baseball team. In 1951, converted back to golf course when avid group of golfers, Kinzua Hills Golf Association purchased it. 'The course and clubhouse can be reserved for private tournaments and events for flat rate of $400 per day, due upon scheduling with KHGC, use of the clubhouse kitchen only is $100 per day.' Visit Kinzua Hills website to contact Alicia for scheduling and payment.
