Disappointed After a Long-Awaited Return After several years away from golf, I was genuinely excited to return to this course—a place filled with memories, especially with my best friend who passed away. We used to play here weekly. Unfortunately, this visit left me frustrated and disappointed. After 4 hours of play, we made it to hole 16 at 7:55 PM. The course closes at 8 PM. A staff member drove out and told us—before closing time—that the manager said we could not finish our round. We were instructed to skip hole 17 and only play 18. We were shocked. One hole to skip after 4 hours of play and over $100 spent? That’s unacceptable. We skipped 17 as told and played 18, completely thrown off and frustrated—our game fell apart because of how it was handled. When we returned the cart, we saw 8 cars still in the parking lot and people still on the driving range. Why were we forced to cut our game short if others were still out there? That decision showed a lack of customer appreciation and made it clear the focus was more on staff convenience than customer experience. Also—kids are supposed to be half price, but unless you ask, they’ll charge full price. I mentioned it when buying more water and got no offer of a refund or credit. I wanted to love this place again for the memories, but sadly, I’ll be trying the Par 3 at LaFortune next time. I’ve heard they’re more affordable, have better carts and greens, and won’t rush you off the course before closing. They even have lights so you can finish your round.

No cart path, uneven greens, no sand traps, either no grass on the tee box or too much grass on the tee box. Holes are not clearly marked. If you want to send your kid to learn to play golf they are ok. Even though the old man spends half his time trying to sell you on the program while you are in the program. Then he doesn’t remember your kid is in the program and supposed to be part of the camp you all told me was canceled. If you want to actually play a round without people walking in front of your tee shot, pick a different course. I’ve played here for a few years and put up with their shenanigans, no more. I had mostly decent experiences at the club honestly, spent some money, sent my kid to camp and bought him a membership. After spending all the money I did, the old man told me I shouldn’t have been in the middle of camp. I had a tee time was following course of play trying to hit my tee shot off the 7th tee box with my kids. Save your money, buy a learning video and get fitted clubs and hit the range. This is a training course, not a leisure course. I will spend my money at a course that respects the golfers that are supporting your course.

This course is in very poor shape compared to what it used to be. Ten years ago, it felt like whoever ran it truly cared about the condition of the facility. Now, it just feels like another business taking your money and putting in minimal effort—or at least that’s how it appears. The clubhouse was hit by storms earlier this year and has been left untouched, with shingles still scattered on the roof and the inside looking dingy and neglected. The driving range is also in poor condition, and the price of range buckets is far too high for what’s offered. On top of that, there weren’t any usable putting greens to warm up on. Out on the course, the cart paths are crumbling, and the greens are so rough that putting feels nearly impossible with the ball bouncing everywhere. Some of the carts are outdated, and the one we used didn’t even have a working parking brake. Charging $39 for a round here under these conditions is unreasonable. There are plenty of other courses around Tulsa that cost less and provide a far better overall experience.

I spent some time reading good reviews and the very critical reviews. The truth is this is an absolutely fantastic little par 3 course. It’s not fancy it’s like you stepped back into a course from the early 80s quiet and serene. If you’re going to play here for the first time just know when it’s busy things can be a little chaotic, not the end of the world. If I had one critique it would be please order some flags with hole numbers! That would have made it a lot less chaotic! The staff is super friendly and it makes a huge difference. I would play here again.

They are doing some work to improve the driving range and practice green, it seems. Maybe they should tell their crews to maintain the actual links as well. Avoid wasting your time and go play in your backyard; you'll have more fun.
