First off, I don’t normally write reviews on any golf courses as they are hard to maintain and still have good customer service. With that out of the way, if I could put zero stars, I would. By far this was the most miserable place I’ve ever played golf and I have played a ton of courses in Northeast Ohio, the good ones and the bad ones. I played this course a few days ago and I thought about it long enough, this so-called “golf course” needs to be reviewed. This will be a sort of “airing of grievances” so this will be a little long. First off, the course condition is abysmal at best. The tee-boxes are just weeds mowed down a bit, but the grass is still far too tall for a tee box. The tee boxes are uneven and filled with divots due to no material available to replace said divots. The fairway is almost unrecognizable with the rough in most spots. 90% of the fairways are now burnt out and in most spots you have to move your ball a few feet just to get to a patch of weeds that has somehow survived. There is no reward for hitting into the fairway, you basically get penalized for hitting an accurate drive since the rough is easier to hit out of since it’s 50% grass and 50% weeds. Before we get to the greens we should start with the trees. Overgrown trees and dead trees litter this course everywhere. There are fallen branches everywhere. Even the worst golf courses get rid of these eyesores and dangerous dangling branches. There is zero effort put into maintaining this course. The flower beds are just overgrown with weeds. I’ve never seen so many dead trees on one course. Now, the greens, they state that they are “beautifully maintained” greens. They aren’t. Half the greens are dead and it’s just like putting on dirt. It’s clear that when they move the hole that they just stick the remaining amount back into the old hole and then just let it die. Every hole I noticed multiple dead spots due to hole replacement. There are acorns and other debris just embedded into the greens because instead of blowing it off it looks like they just mow right over it. Either way, course condition would be a zero out of ten with zero being the worst possible score you can get. I get it, good help is hard to find and maybe that is what the actual problem is with the condition of the course. The course is by far the worst course condition I’ve ever seen but still you can play it and probably use a putter and that would be all you need. That is it for the course. The man running the clubhouse was extremely rude as well. I had called to get a tee time and his response was “we don’t take tee times here because it’s too much work so it’s first come, first serve”. The attitude was unneeded. That should’ve been the red flag that prevented me from going in the first place. Anyhow, I paid a almost 25 bucks for a course worth 5 bucks at best. After my payment, I used the restroom which was absolutely disgusting. I felt like I got a disease from using it, yup, that gross. While in there, another group of people came in and the guy literally said, “an old guy just paid and will likely hold you up so I suggest to hurry” and I believe he was talking about me and when I exited he just smiled at me while checking out the other group. All I can say is, I wouldn’t golf at this course ever again. 0 stars for the condition of the course, 0 stars for difficulty since there is basically no grass and just overgrown weeds everywhere, and 0 stars for customer service since the man I had to deal with is so incredibly rude. Not worth going to this course, there is ZERO redeemable qualities for this course. Oh yeah, I had to wait around ten minutes for a guy on a mower to finish cutting the grass on the 4th or 5th hole even though he saw me and just kept going which then made the group behind me catch up to me. With all this said, don’t go here if you like to actually good. I wouldn’t even bring my wife to this course because I’d be embarrassed.
