We had another great year hosting our company golf outing of 15-18 teams at Heatherdowns. Brian is a tremendous host and works to facilitate everything you need for a great outing! We love this local golf club and find them to be very generous, a great value, and the perfect setting for a fun event! Plus their food is very solid!

Played in late June 2025. First time playing. Very friendly staff, and pace of play was GREAT! I don’t know what the reputation of this course, and the one across the street (South Toledo) are. I believe the two were connected at one point - this was the North course. But now, they are separate. I played South Toledo last year, and was impressed with the fast and well kept greens. In terms of conditions, it was a bit of a mixed bag. First the good. The bunkers!!! They are pristine - best I’ve played out of in the Toledo area. I was in both a fairway and greenside bunker, and they were true, with soft sand - not the hard pan clay bunkers most places turn into. Also, the rough was thick and lush for the most part - which I think is a positive. I played in the morning and the cups were cut fresh as well, which I appreciated. However, I was a bit disappointed in the greens and fairways. It was surprisingly wet there. I would say it was from rain, but the sprinklers were on when I arrived. Maybe they keep it that way on purpose, or were doing it to prepare for the hot, sunny day. I’m not accusing them of not mowing them, as there were a lot of maintenance guys out doing work in the course, but the fairways were legitimately long, and the greens were a little shaggy, and thus VERY slow. It felt like a course that should have fast greens, and just didn’t. A handful of the greens have disease, with unfortunately 16 being the worst (I think that’s the signature hole)? A few of the tee boxes were in rough shape, particularly 9 where half the tee box was unplayable. There are some really good holes, and I enjoyed this layout more than South Toledo. 4-6 is a great stretch thru the hills. 4 requires about a 220 tee shot to avoid going into the downhill mounds. The 2nd shot on 4 is simply awesome. 5 is a cool par 3 down the hill, and 6 has a fun tee shot thru the chute. On the back 9, both the par 3’s are pretty holes, with 16 being the peninsula green par 3. While their price point is competitive in the Toledo market ($47 for 18 in a cart), I feel it’s overpriced. I played with the discount book, so it was worth it for that price, but at full price, there are better courses in the Toledo area for the same or cheaper. I think they should be about $10 cheaper than they currently are given the current conditions. I did enjoy the day. Fast play as a single is hard sometimes, but it wasn’t here!

We can’t thank the entire team enough for making our wedding day absolutely perfect. From start to finish, the service, attention to detail, and genuine care from everyone involved went above and beyond our expectations. Our wedding coordinator, Amanda, was truly incredible — organized, caring and always one step ahead. She made the planning process so much easier and ensured that everything ran smoothly on the day. It allowed us to relax and really take in every special moment. Even got my kitty Poe in the wedding decor! The venue staff were exceptional — warm, professional, and attentive to our guests’ every need. So many of our friends and family commented on how friendly and efficient the team was throughout the evening. And we have to give a huge thank-you to Head chef Krystal and Sous Chef Andrew. The food was absolutely phenomenal — beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. We are still getting compliments about the meal! In addition all dietary accommodations were accounted for and everyone had a special meal to eat at dinner. I can’t thank them enough for the time and effort they put into making sure everyone’s belly’s were full of food safe for them. Our wedding day was everything we dreamed of and more, and that’s thanks to the amazing people who made it happen. I am a professional wedding videographer, and when it came time to get married we searched for the best venue that met our needs. Heather Downs blew us away even before our wedding day. The tasting was perfect and when it came time for planning and the day of the wedding. Amanda was perfect and her staff was AMAZING! There is not one even remotely bad thing I can say about them. We have guests still over a month past the wedding raving about the staff, the food, the drinks and the venue as a whole. We even added a third meat; Kielbasa for my Polish heritage and the Chef was so happy about doing so! Amanda helped decorate our tables exactly how we wanted them and it was just like my wife's vision she had. We had pre entrance cocktails, and our head table had the exact drinks we wanted for toasts. It truly was the perfect day!!! I will be sure to tag them in our professional wedding photos and videos to come!

We held a bridal shower for my granddaughter. The rooms were beautiful with round tables with linens to match the shower theme. Lighting was great with large windows overlooking the golf course. Amanda was very helpful in planning and executing the decorations. She was easy to contact and responsive to our questions. Sarah, the bartender, was pleasant and mixed drinks to everyone’s great satisfaction. With Amanda’s help we selected great food and desserts. I would strongly recommend Amanda and Heatherdowns Country Club for events and we plan on holding another celebration in the Spring.
