$67 for a weekend round. For this... Let me help you....DON'T PLAY ANY KEMPERSPORTS COURSES IN OHIO. Don't just don't. And Bent Tree, DO NOT reply with a canned response regarding the 'drought from last year and this year'. Based on the comments, this is an existing issue SINCE 2022 when you begin management. Adapt and Adjust like many of the courses in Central Ohio are doing. Do better. In fact, JUST DO.

Donte waste your time or money. Columbus collective/new era courses are the most overpriced and under maintained in the central Ohio area. Such better courses out there at a fraction of the cost.

Course is not in good shape at all. Greens are littered with divot marks, fairways are dead, and the tee boxes are pretty high. Clubhouse is nice but might be the only positive part of this course. Will not be back.

Went back to Bent Tree for the first time in 3 years and the recent reviews had me a little nervous. After playing 18 on a Friday mid-day for $50, I think the recent string of bad reviews are overblown. Staff - The pro shop and concession staff were very friendly even with the guy at the front desk flustered because their site was down and couldn't process payments (we paid at the turn). Layout - For north Columbus public golf, Bent tree is challenging but fair and I used every club in my bag. It has good character and makes you think around the course. Course conditions - With the severe lack of rain, I think the course was holding up pretty well. Sure there were bare spots here and there, but other recent reviews are a little overblown. They had recently aerated the greens and collars which made the greens very bumpy, but that happens every year and may explain the decreased greens fees. The bunkers were horrendous. Some new sand and ongoing care would make this a quick improvement if they cared to address. Speed of play - This was abysmal. It took us nearly 5 hours to play. We were stacked up on nearly every tee box. This would be a quick fix if someone was willing to confront the 1 group 4 holes ahead that is taking too long and slowing everyone else behind them up. Being tuff on one group makes everyone else's experience better. Value - $50 was a good deal. $70 would be tough to swallow but everyone has their own perspective. I'd go back tomorrow to play this course in that condition on a Friday. I can't speak to Kempersports intentions for their courses. I recently heard Royal American is being turned into a housing development. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to squeeze as much money out of their courses at the expense of their customers. It seems to be the way of the world now. Overall, today was a good day of golf.

DO NOT waste your money on this course. The greens fees on a Friday afternoon were $70 to play possibly the worst course in Columbus. Not to mention their stupid fluctuating greens fees based on demand. Choose your rates like every other course and stick to them. As for the condition of the course, almost every single tee box was covered in crab grass making it hard to find a acceptable place to tee your ball. The fairways looked like a battlefield that had just been shelled in WW2. As for the bunkers, I think there’s more sand on the moon than in these bunkers. Finally, the greens were okay, but littered with pitch marks, dead areas on the collars, and uneven speeds across the course. Additionally to the condition of the course, the pace of play was absolutely horrendous. It took our foursome five hours to play 18 holes. They allowed a six-some, you read that correct six golfers, to play as a group. One of them even had a full on camera taking beauty shots of the other players like he works for Golf Digest. The pro shop was advised of this at the turn, but did they do anything about it? No. Finally, Michigan Jim needs to cool it with all of his first tee antics. Not a single person wants to go to your shed to buy discount University of Michigan gear. Period. I’m not sure what that was all about, and I’m not joking about his shed, he legit said that to our group and it was super weird. Moral of the story, book a tee time literally anywhere else and thank me later.
