I’m not gonna blast this Golf Course, because it’s not a Bad course to play. “But” There’s a lot of issues, that need to be Concentrated on. The price is a Little high, for the “Condition” of the Course. Some of the Greens, have areas of Dead Spots, and some have Pure Dirt, no Bermuda, or Bent grass, on them.. The Fairways have a lot of Dead Spots, and a lot of Crab Grass in them. Yes some damage, from Carts driving through, in Wet areas, in some spots. But mostly from the Lack, of Maintenance on the Grass itself. Proper mowing, fertilization, and aeration techniques, weed Control would help a lot. The Bunkers are highly Packed down, some have grass in them, a lot are unplayable, and some are filled with water, yes rain was a factor, But with ‘Proper Drainage solutions’ would help rid of that problem. Even on week long Hot days, the Bunkers, are way too hard, and Compacted to play out of, possibly needs New Sand, and every once in a while Raking and redistributing the sand, help in keeping a consistent depth, and playing conditions. The rough is way to tall, you hit a Ball, 3 feet off the Fairway, your chances, on finding it, is very low causing you to take an unwanted drop, or losing a high dollar ball, even for the Pro Players. The Tee Boxes could really use some work, some are in bad Shape, yes a lot of it, is from Players, taking Divots, not using proper Golf Etiquette, throwing some sand down, in the Divots after there shot. But there is still weeds and areas of dead spots as well as Uneven playing surfaces. Yes I understand they should have Slope for Drainage, but should be a even surface. Now to the Ponds, there is a lot of Algae and Swampy conditions, Causing them to Smell. I would suggest, possibly a Algae control, and a Major Weed Control, Hydro Raking, Dredging, also Aeration and some fountains, shoreline erosion repair, and Shoreline Buffer Management, etc etc also adding some Algae, eating Fish could help. I’m in Lawncare and Landscaping, is what I do for a living. Im not saying, this place is Purposely, being neglected, not saying that at all. But this course could really “POP” and be Beautiful, if it was Properly Maintained. Also it is a bummer, that there is not a lot of Par 5s, but not that big of a deal. This Course has Beautiful Scenery, and wildlife, Nice Streams, love the individual trees scattered through the Course. Also I love the Challenging Greens, and the Challenging Approach Shots. Don’t get me wrong, I like playing here, I usually don’t, because of the Conditions make it kinda frustrating. But I believe with a little more TLC could be, one of the best.around. There is my Honest Review, I know feedback is Important, because Reviews, is how you get your feedback.
