Description

Pleasant View Golf Club threads through gentle elevation with frequent views of open farmland. Its par fours range from drivable to stout, keeping club selection fresh. Bunkers are placed to catch the careless rather than the bold, so smart lines are rewarded. Greens are smooth and medium speed, ideal for rolling in confident putts. The course delivers exactly what its name promises: pleasant golf, with a few surprises.

Very well taken care of course. All the staff were friendly, drinks and food available, golf carts were in good condition and working good. Overall, great place to golf.

Mike and Monica are wonderful. The course is the best I've played in a 30 mile radius. I will be playing this course as much as I possibly can.

I almost never write reviews, but after my experience at Pleasant View, I felt like I needed to say something. The course itself is okay — nothing special. It’s fairly plain, conditions were decent, but there’s nothing memorable about the layout or overall vibe. The real issue was the staff — especially the starter and what appeared to be the owner, both older men with white hair. They were extremely rude and condescending from the start. Rather than welcoming or helpful, they seemed more interested in nitpicking over tiny, insignificant things. It felt like they were looking for a reason to argue instead of letting people enjoy their round. There was zero sense of etiquette or professionalism, and it really soured the entire experience. I came hoping for a relaxing day of golf, and instead left frustrated and annoyed. Honestly, it’s not worth the drive. There are plenty of other courses where the staff respects players and knows how to treat guests. Save your time, your money, and your patience — and go somewhere else.

AVOID: Needs New Management and Serious Upkeep. My experience at Pleasant View Golf Course was profoundly disappointing and highlighted why this facility is in desperate need of new ownership. The problems here are twofold: the abysmal condition of the course and the unacceptable behavior of the management. The owner is consistently rude, grumpy, and creates an actively hostile environment. Not to mention the henchmen he hires running around the course they are a story for another time. Instead of focusing on customer service, the owner will frequently start screaming random, nonsensical things that confuse and irritate players. This type of volatile and unprofessional conduct is not something any paying customer should have to endure.Adding to the frustration is the terrible condition of the course itself. It's clear they must use subpar or run-down maintenance equipment, as the turf quality is appalling. The grass is easily worse than any other golf course around, making it difficult and unpleasant to play. This course simply does not meet basic standards for maintenance. Finally, even the equipment is faulty. The so-called "smart carts" do not work properly, constantly thinking you are somewhere you are not on the course, which disrupts your game and pulls focus from playing golf.Until this course receives a significant overhaul in both management and groundskeeping, I strongly advise golfers to take their business elsewhere.

First and last time ever coming here. The person on hole #1 was incredibly rude and careless. When we first started he seemed normal giving us the details of the course but it was all downhill after that. I was playing with two novice golfers. When we approached hole #2 we were apparently too close to our twosome in front of us (who we came with) and he decided to drive right by us and watch us like a hawk. It got so excessive to the point where when we were putting he was within 6 feet of us smoking. When one of the novice golfers was practice swinging he said “are you ever going to hit that?!”. At that point I stepped in and told him he needed to leave us alone and how ridiculous it is to stand over a golfer and talk to them while they’re putting. He didn’t like that- and became belligerent towards us and when we explained to him we just wanted to golf in peace he went to my cart, took off with it to drive closer to his cart where he eventually left. I have never experienced such a bad experience and living in Glenmoor and golfing often this seemed fake to me at the time. I’m concerned he stole money out of my wallet as he took my cart and when I told the manager this he said “he’s a trustworthy guy”. Great, so if you come here expect to be harassed, followed, and your cart taken to make it more convenient for them when they’re upset. The manager was very apologetic and I appreciate him trying to save face as the 5 other golfers I was with where in total disbelief of his behavior. It’s safe to say there’s a reason I did not know of this golf course and looking at their other reviews it seems to be a pattern here.
