Description

Split Rock Golf Club is a semi-private 18 hole layout known for its rolling fairways, sculpted bunkers, and immaculate conditioning. The design strategically incorporates elevation changes and scenic vistas to craft both challenge and visual appeal. Fairways frame dramatic landing areas, while greens showcase subtle slopes and tiering that reward precise putting. Practice facilities are comprehensive, offering driving range, chipping, and dedicated green complexes. Split Rock strikes a balance between accessibility and sophistication, making it a popular destination for league play and individual rounds.

Not a bad course but not really better than average. Pros Full size driving range Pace of play is usually ok Interesting course with some elevation changes Updated carts Cons Its a country course so fighting weeds Greens are often overplayed Traps are not typically good Cart paths are in need of repair Proshop somewhat limited.

Split Rock Golf Course use to be really nice track 15 years ago. Now, especially after COVID19, it's struggling to maintain the Course. The tee boxes had a lot of divots as well as the putting greens. I would also find my ball in a divot in the middle of the Fairway, I would have been better off hitting my ball in the rough than the fairway. I counted 12 greens that were impossible to put on, due to the fungus dirt patches. I faired better chipping on these greens rather that putting. Maintenance is very minimum at best, and it's what I call shrinkflation. Split Rock Golf Course ownership only care about lining there pockets with as much profit possible, while only meeting the minimum maintenance required to charge customers the maximum amount possible. It cost me $49 to ride 18 holes on Saturday, which is extremely disrespectful to charge that amount, especially when I had to drive 40 minutes to the course. I could have played at Mental Memorial Golf Course for $48 to ride 18 holes, and also Raymond Memorial Golf Course first $52 to ride 18 holes and these two courses are very well maintained. My recommendation to all golfers that want to play golf on a well maintained course and feel it's worth the money spent to Play, you should consider the Columbus City Golf Courses. I wouldn't give Split Rock Golf Course any star, but I had to give one star to leave a comment. I'll never play at Split Rock Golf Course ever again!

This course would be a great course if it was taken care of properly, can’t discredit the hospitality and overall service of the clubhouse and the rangers that was great, but the tee boxes are almost 2 inches tall and the greens are disease ridden. Definitely not a 50$ worthy round of golf

I’m giving this course a generous 2 stars. Very little to no grass on tee boxes. Lots of dirt areas in the fairways and the greens are absolutely destroyed and to change $49 for that? It’s just not good.

Fairways are fine, but the rough has a lot of clover, which hides your ball if you hit into it. Greens were slow but that could be because of all the rain. Carts have GPS which is nice.
