I honestly think that Spring Valley is a very nice course with excellent condition. Though not much design, but the entire course situated in a very nice "valley" landscape, with very good condition ☺️. Like how Hole 9 l, 11 and 18 constructed across the lake, all of the 3 holes are fun to play.

For a public course it is well maintained and greens were true. Shout-out to Matt at the front desk who was courteous, friendly and helpful, as I had to change me tee time to accommodate additional buddy. Pace of play was a little slow, but not horrible by any means.

Had a tee time at 2:45 pm on a Saturday in September and only made it through 14 holes. Atrocious pace of play when they literally have rules saying you should complete 18 in 4 and a half hours. Paying full price to not finish it a bad feeling. Nice course but really bad course management considering they have a started and seemingly organized team. Not returning.

This review concerns SMOKING at the practice range. Management should consider banning smoking in this area. I visit the practice range at least twice weekly. Smoking is not common at the individual mats. However, one person consistently smokes during practice. Others have given looks, hoping they would stop. Without a no-smoking sign, this person ignores others and continues to smoke. I and others come to improve golf skills and enjoy fresh air in a such beautiful facility after work. It is disheartening to encounter someone ruining this experience. Based on my visits, this is the only smoker during practice. I believe patrons would welcome a smoke-free practice area. Thank you for considering this request.

I think I’ve only had a couple of positive interactions here. Most of the time, the staff at the pro shop come across like they have an attitude—almost as if they’re annoyed that I showed up for my tee time. At the very least, since this is customer service, I think it’s important to at least try to seem pleased to see a customer. The person working the snack counter doesn’t seem rude, but also doesn’t really seem happy to be asked for items, which gives off a negative vibe. I’ve worked at a golf course myself (SJ Muni for about a year), so I know the job can be tough at times. But even then, I always made it a point to remember I was in customer service and tried to be as pleasant as possible. I know you guys are capable of better, and I hope the overall experience can improve.
