They changed the course completely. The course turned the completely around. The course has water, blind shots, and bunkers. The greens are fast. It's a different game from what it use to be. Hole 1 is a Par 5 and the second shot is blind. (I warned you). The club house is still the same with some remodel around the pro shop. We payed $70 for the round and it was worth it. Fun round. My group and I will be back.

After the remodel it’s a top track in DFW and a value. Played it until your hands bleed before it’s $90 a round.

Can't Wait for the New Meadowbrook! (July 13, 2025) I've been playing Meadowbrook since the mid-80s, so even though it's still about a month from opening, I had to take a tour. I was blown away. This new layout is phenomenal and I truly believe it will be one of the top courses in all of Tarrant County. While the new sod is still settling in, it's clear this design is going to be a great experience for both new players and seasoned veterans. In the past, some of the holes were easily reachable, but with the new back tees, many of them have been significantly extended, making for a more challenging round. For those curious about the redesign, here's a hole-by-hole breakdown of the new front nine. Keep in mind this is from my tour, and I'm not a pro, but this should give you a good idea of what to expect: Hole 1: A new par 5, with the tee box now on the old #9 green. You'll tee off toward the old #9 tee, with a dogleg to the right and a green that sits on the lower part of the old #8 fairway. Hole 2: A par 3, teeing off from the old #8 lower fairway towards the old tee box. Hole 3: This is a fantastic change. The tee is now closer to the pond (near the old #5 lower fairway), so no more hitting off the elevated old #5 tee box and donating balls to the water. This is a beautiful par 4 that's been extended into the old #6. The green looks like it's been moved closer to the back of the property behind the convenience store. Hole 4: From the tee, it looks like the old #7, but don't be fooled. The dreaded drainage ditch is gone, so you can pull out the driver, but be warned: there are new bunkers on the left and near the green, which is also about 30-40 yards deeper. It's a really fun par 4. Hole 5: This might be my favorite change. It's a par 3, back up the old #5 tee box. With back tees on the other side of the bridge. Instead of an ugly, elevated green, it's now beautifully placed halfway up the hill. They appear to have removed some soil to set the green into the side of the hill. Hole 6: This is a crazy one. After playing this par 5 from the south for decades, you now tee off from the north side, directly toward the white house on top of the hill. The newly inserted bunkers make this a very appealing hole. The green is near the old #3 green, so be careful not to miss your approach shot to the right. Hole 7: A par 4 that's like the old #2, reversed. The back tees are in front of the old #3 tee box. They've smoothed out the big hill we used to have to drive over, so you can now see the green from the tee on this slight left-hand dogleg. Hole 8: A beautiful par 3. Think of teeing off from the hill behind the old #1 to the fairway in front of the creek near the old #1 green. This green is surrounded by three bunkers. Hole 9: A par 4 that tees off from the hill toward the clubhouse. It may look short on paper, but it's an uphill challenge with newly inserted bunkers that will make it a great test for all golfers. If you're reading this after prior to playing, I apologize in advance if I cost you a couple of strokes! I am so excited to see how this course is received. Many people may have forgotten about this gem, but once golfers start teeing off, I think it will be hard to find an open tee time. The layout and conditions look superb. If you thought the Rockwood and Texas Rangers courses were transformational, I personally believe this redesign surpasses what that group has done. In closing, as of this review, the clubhouse is still in need of some love. I hope it gets a fraction of the attention and care that has been given to the course before reopening. R.I.P. Love the new layout. Everyone was very friendly. I give it 5 stars for that reason. But bring a range finder because there are no yardage markers any where but on the score card and no GPS. on the carts. 13 million dollars and no yardage markers? What's up with that? Never played a course with out them making it hard to figure out distance to the green's. So bring a range finder. Talked to the guy I think was in charge about it and the rough was very thick. I kind of like it but very hard to find you ball if you are lucky you will find yours but I found a couple just looking for my own!🤣 He said after the grass has time to mature before they can mow them shorter witch is what I thought. Take extra balls because of that. I will definitely go back after I find out that they put yardage markers in if they don't may not. But love the new lay-out and I love that they just put makeup on the club house because it brought back a lot of memories from playing there back in the day.
