Fun course that's not terribly expensive. Good beer prices at 4 for $10 for most domestics. Specialty drinks in the can were more but very reasonable. Greens were fast, fairways well kept.

EDIT: We were contacted and the owner was very sympathetic, we will happily return in the future. This place has a great course, and the greens are fast and great practice. So in that sense, I had a great time here on two different outings. The golf pro seemed very nice and so did the people we have encountered working there in the past. However, my father and I recently had an experience here that may prevent us from coming back in the future. We played our first nine in about three hours, yes that's slow but we were behind people so it is what it is. So, as we started our second nine on the second hole an employee (female, middle aged) drove up to us and immediately accused us only paying for nine, and when we stated we paid for 18 she changed her story to say we had played over 18. When we told her we had not she scoffed off and said "Well I'll check the cameras for the full story." We went on to play the rest of our round (In an hour and a half this time), got back and my father told her what she did was very rude, and she admitted she realized we only played 18 but made a bunch of excuses. I get you were wrong, but you need to apologize, not try and justify your actions. If she apologized we may have come back, we were even considering a membership here next year, and taking lessons, I feel we were at least owed an apology after how rude she was. Not sure if she was the owner or not, so if not its sad one employee can completely ruin your experience. Sorry to them if that's the case because the course is kept very well.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great golf course and I'd love to come back in the earlier seasons but what frustrated me the most was the grass. I'm not a great golfer and normally my balls don't make it clean onto the fairway. Today when my golf balls landed in the rough, the ball would get nestled deep into the grass which became a reoccurring issue. I lost six balls I didn't think I'd loose but after looking for them in the near the spot I saw them land, it's was already gone. Between the leaves piling up under the trees and the tall grass, this makes it nearly impossible to find the ball after it landed. I know the season is coming to an end and labor begins to slow down but this was a really frustrating bit playing at this course. However, I highly doubt this is the case during the spring and summer. Overall this is a very fun course to play at. The front 9 is beautiful and not too complicated, the flag is always visible and greens are nice and fast. All in all, I will be returning in the spring. Thank you!

Fun family friendly golf. Played there last year and had a blast. Greens are excellent, roll smooth and fast. Pace of play was excellent, never waited. Played 18 holes in about 3 hours and 15 minutes. Looking forward to getting back out there this year.

It’s always a nice time at the Battenkill Country Club! The river, trees, wildlife, and overall layout make for a very scenic and enjoyable course. It’s an easygoing dynamic in the clubhouse as well. My favorite part is driving around on the golf cart.
