To understand the depth of what this resort brings you have to understand the history. This is family run, rare in these time of greed. I’ve been going for 45 years, my family over 65 years. This resort provides something no where can replicate. It’s not fancy but it’s family for sure.

I brought my younger children and it was an amazing experience. Multiple playgrounds to explore makes it fun and never a dull moment. The lake is not too far and there is fishing, golf, boat rentals and a beautiful wooden playground. The activities are fun and a mix for all family members to enjoy. Your waiter knows your preferences so drinks and certain basics are always ready for you. The ringing of the bell for meal time is so fun and my kids looked forward to help ring the bell.

We've been coming for over 15 years and always enjoyed our time last week. However, the resort as a whole has changed since we first came. While the original property, buildings, rooms, and most activities stayed the same, it is clear there was a staffing problem. We also noticed the food in the dining room was okay, but several changes done to limit having "more" of something etc. If you've never been to Sunny Hill before, you likely wouldn't notice. But for the host of people who have, you'll feel the changes. I hope Sunny Hill can go back to the "family first" way it's been for years. Gary was always at the heart of everything. Now, it seems to be a resort searching for it's leader!

I was at Sunny Hill not too long ago, I have been going there for couple years, normally I never complain about Sunny Hill, the view never gets old, when I go up the first thing when I spots the view felt like I’d never left, great service, great people and great hospitality as always…but here’s a bit of issue not a massive complaint but for Thursday nights Lake Party at the Pavilion, don’t know it been like the same with other weeks but I was there last week, luckily last year that the DJ of last years Lake Party last week of July, July 25, but this year that the DJ (not want to say the DJs name) will say the DJ is pretty good DJ, but here’s the problem like when it gets late when the other people played Drinking Games *yes the others was playing Drinking Games, I was as well* this was during the Drinking Games as well as mine, when Meatloaf’s ‘Paradise By The Dashboard Lights’ seems to be an Thursday Night Pavilion song the week I normally come *I don’t know other weeks does the same* so I don’t know it was last year or two years ago it’s a different DJ one of the two other years, that *I don’t know other weeks would consider these two songs Sunny Hill hits* Neil Diamond’s ‘Sweet Caroline’ and Don McClean’s ‘American Pie’. So I’m saying for our week, always the last week of July that those three songs Dashboard Lights, Sweet Caroline and American Pie was the last songs like around maybe 1:45 ish before 2 am like when everyone was done the Drinking Games, I’m just saying that this year that missed when everyone will be on tables, Dashboard Lights Men on one side, the women on the other and plus those three when everyone was singing and dancing together. Yes, I did stated that I don’t have complaints but here’s a complaint recently. Plus he don’t take any request after Meatloaf. Will say for the ones haven’t went to Sunny Hill, been there for years, haven’t been there for years or first time will say this you will have a time of you life. The family runs Sunney Hill they do love when people come, either they’re new or old, they support our first responders, our military and love United States. There are very patriotic. God Bless to Sunny Hill, hope to see you again next year and enjoy rest of your year!

The resort was well run with a professional staff that were very knowledgeable about all aspects of operations. We stayed at their resort for one night and it was great no issues. I highly recommend it for rest and relaxation in a beautiful part of New York State.
