Another outstanding outing at Ironwood on 6/21/25. My group, Martinsville Golf, plays here 1-2 times a year and it never disappoints. The improvements they've added this year are outstanding, including new routing, GPS in every cart, koi pond, etc. I can't wait to get back!!!

Very well kept, great greens, one of the better golf carts of any course I been to, can't beat the price !

This is like playing a country club. Course is meticulously maintained. It is a course that you can get after and score well. If you haven't played it yet your missing one of the best courses in our area

Two sides of the story. The Course. The course was in good shape. This was my first time playing but has been on my list for a couple of years now. Fairways, greens were well maintained. Carts all had GPS tracking which made it easier to track players ahead of your group. There are many blind shots due to the rolling hills on the course so cart tracking helped. Beverage cart service which you don’t see too often in this area was handy when we needed some gatorades on the hot day. The Experience. We had mid morning tee times. Somehow there was a snafu with an earlier group or larger group ahead of us. Anyway, our 10:40 and 10:50 tee times got pushed back by about 20 min or possibly more. The course offered everyone a small savings on the round and some range balls. Some in our group had to wait for carts to come back in before loading up our clubs. Everyone that we came in contact with was very apologetic regarding the problem. Needless to say, the round was about 5hrs of time. The front was the major slowdown taking almost 3 hrs (guessing the problem group was done as we started the back). I am not sure if the course has been recently reconfigured but my ShotScope watch had no clue what hole I was on. My friend using his iPhone and Apple Watch was having the same issue. Having the cart GPS helped with yardage, kept looking at my watch due to habit. I am not sure who is responsible for getting that info to the appropriate apps that provide those GPS services, but that was very frustrating. I look forward to playing again, at my normal time of before 7am!
