Description

Mountain Falls in Pahrump is a well-conditioned, visually appealing course co-designed by Nicklaus and Schmidt-Curley. It features broad fairways, strategically placed water, and large greens. A great mix of challenge and forgiveness makes it enjoyable for all skill levels. Worth the drive for Vegas-area players looking for something different.

Mountain Falls Golf Club offers a scenic desert golf experience with pristine fairways and challenging greens. The course layout is approachable for newcomers while still providing a challenge for experienced players, with water hazards adding an extra layer of strategy. The fairways and greens are in perfect condition, and the peaceful surroundings create an enjoyable atmosphere for golfers of all skill levels. Well-maintained facilities and friendly staff further elevate the overall experience, making it one of the best courses I’ve ever played.

Beautiful and challenging course. This course has Rye grass which does not required overseeing like most of the courses did during the fall season. Even though they just aggregated the greens they still rolled nice. Definitely worth the drive from Las Vegas to Pahrump to play it.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was not busy, however there was an event going on next door. We started by ordering the pretzel sticks and some waters with a coke. The sticks were just baked bread with salt. We ordered the tenders appetizer for my little one, The Fettuccine with pesto for me and my husband ordered a plain hamburger with no cheese. The server tried to up sell our order by asking if my little one wanted fries or chips. We asked for fries. She also asked me if I wanted a salad for $3 more. I said no thanks. The food took 30 minutes to arrive even though the restaurant was empty. The hamburger was not plain at all. It had everything on it. When the server realized this she took off the greens with her bare hands. No Gloves!! My little one had 2 tenders with chips even though I ordered fries. But that is not even the worst part of this. My Shrimp Fettuccine with Pesto sauce came with Alfredo sauce. I decided to go ahead and eat it because I was hungry and waiting for 30 minutes. When I tried the shrimp 🦐🍤 They were spoiled rotten. Horrible smell and experience. I had to gag. We immediately got up and complained about the food. We asked for the check. When the server arrived I noticed that she charged me for a Tender dinner instead of the appetizer even though she brought me the wrong side. She said that she was going to change to fries because I had 2 side options and she only brought me one. Overall horrible experience. Please don't come here. I don't recommend this place at all.

About an hour west of the Vegas valley sits the small desert town of Pahrump, Nevada. And before you get into town, on the outskirts of the valley, you’ll find a hidden gem called Mountain Falls Golf Club. We were out there for a Vegas Golf Network tournament, and man, this is a great golf course. The practice area is fantastic with multiple putting greens, two chipping greens with green side bunkers to practice out of, and a spacious grass range with plenty of targets to dial in your game. The course is odd as two designers are responsible for the front and back nines. And you can tell right away as you transition from one side to the other. What makes it great is that had each designer been able to do all 18, each layout would have been excellent. So even if it’s a little odd, you can appreciate how vastly different the designs are for what was built on the same type of land. The greens were in great shape, and we were rolling true as could be. The fairways, even though they were patchy in some areas, were excellent, considering we’ve had a weird winter season in this area of the county. Mountain Falls is worth a trip if you’re in the Las Vegas area and are trying to avoid some of the extremely high rates in town right now. The drive to Pahrump, once you get past all the traffic on the west end of Blue Diamond, is quick and easy, with a double-lane highway for the majority of the trip. It’s worth a look, and we’ll be back for sure!

Fantastic course! It was in amazing shape, all the amenities, friendly staff and cooler temps than Vegas! Worth the hour drive from Vegas and we will definitely be coming back!
