First time playing here and loved it even though the camouflaged greens had any birdies from me. Onto the review. Tee Boxes 4/5 - No real noticeable issues even on par 3s, there was enough space where it wasn't all dug out. Fairways 4/5 - There were some wet spots, but no muddy areas. The slope made shot selection important since shaping worked against you. Greens 4/5 - The greens are decent, they have a camouflage color to them but roll smooth at a 10/11, and god help you if you leave your shots uphill from the hole. Layout 5/5 - The hills were utilized to the maximum here with almost every hole requiring your distances to be on point since the elevation changes could add up to 30 yards on tour shot. Amenities 5/5 - Though the driving range is rather short and narrow at about 200 yards, at least there is one. There are also separate pitching and putting greens with a practice bunker. Wow what a find! Located in Troy, NC just outside the Uwharrie park this course is a challenge. You must be able to work the ball off the tee or you will be hitting from the pines. Reminds me of other sandhill courses that cost so much more. Has a pool onsite that for a small fee you can plan a day for the whole family. The Mexican style restaurant/bar onsite is delicious, friendly and a value. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent track, with pretty good value. It's layout over conditions, but the greens are healthy, the turf is solid, and the bunkers, while excellently placed, need some work. It's off the beaten path, they have a public access pool across from the pro shop, which is attached to an excellent Mexican bar and grill, with very good margaritas and pollo con chorizo. It's got really good bones, it reminds me of Ross courses I've enjoyed, and it would be a 70$ layout in Charlotte or Greensboro

Nice course, easy to navigate and great course to improve your skills on. When checking in, Chris in the pro shop was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming, truly a pleasure to interact with. He said the greens were in great shape, which they were. For a $40 round including cart fee, it was a steal... definitely worth the price.
