Description

Set along Lake Tillery in Norwood, Piney Point is classic Carolina parkland with tree-lined corridors and reachable par-5s. Originally built in the 1960s by J. Porter Gibson and later refreshed, the course balances scoring chances with honest tests around the greens. Back-tee yardage just over 6,500 keeps it approachable while still rewarding solid ball-striking. Bent-grass greens are the star, typically smooth and quick for a daily-fee track. A full driving range and practice areas make it an easy home base for regular play.

They take great care of this course. We were impressed by the greens and the fact that they do an amazing job of keeping leaves at a minimum.

Loved the course. I played there about 8 years ago, it has changed quite a bit. The lay out is nice, the course is fair yet challenging, it is in great shape and there is a lot of maintenance people taking care of it. It is a hidden gem for sure.

Wide open course. Super friendly staff. Good prices on tee times and food. Pretty views. Love coming out here.

I’m a terrible amateur, so don’t know what my opinion counts for. But this place looks great and greens were in great shape. Not too crowded and they have a driving range. I’d recommend it!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great place for lunch with wonderful staff. Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and a perfect spot to enjoy a mid-day break. Highly recommend.
