Got to the course told them we called two weeks ago and set up a tee time. They didn't have us marked down. They did have a open spot for us to play through. (Now I wished they didn't after playing). The gentlemen at the front counter was very friendly. This course has a decent layout. That is the only think I'm going to say. The greens were horribly burned out. You could guarantee yourself you were going to put through mud to get to the hole. The fairway looked like you could take a bailer to them to pick up all the grass clippings. This is NOT a 60 dollar club. Now they say this use to be a nice course. I could see it. It's a shame that is that bad.

There's so much I love about this place! First it reminds me of a course I used to play with my Dad all the time.. Back in Iowa! 🤎 The yard markings are obvious and there are generally two indicators for every yardage. The course has challenges however very doable and fun 💫 The scenery is fantastic, mountain views⛰️ to lake views and streams. The trees are spectacular🌲 colorful shrubs, birds, small game 🐿️ and snappers. They are working on several areas but I see effort. Only suggestion is the hole 16 plaque at the Y should be moved several feet down the left side of the path or add another sign indicating 16 is to the left All in all a fantastic course ⛳ ✨

Chatuge Shores Golf Course Review I have been playing golf for 50+ years. During that time, my handicap has ranged from 4 to 18 as of today. I have played all over the United Srates and even overseas in multiple countries. Of all the golf courses i’ve played I can’t think of one other course that was in worst condition as Chatuge Shores. EVERY green had damage that you were expected to putt through. Greens were running about a 6 or 7 because they hadn’t been mowed. The sad part is much this could be resolved with regular aeration and top dressing a couple of times a year. It was also take someone weeding the greens to get the clumps of broad leaf grass out of the greens. Obviously ether they have no superintendent or the just don’t care. The course design isn’t awful but they do have 5 or 6 poorly designed holes (snap doglegs) The biggest travesty is they charged me $66 to play this embarrassment of a golf course that isn’t worth 6 cents. This was my first and last time to play this awful course. There are plenty of good, well maintained golf courses around Hiawassee! Don’t waste your time or money on this course.

Very nice course. We played right after a bad rainstorm, so the course was soggy. Well kept and challenging!!

This golf course used to be great, it is now in worse condition than any other course I have ever played. The greens are horrible and the fairways are showing signs of weeds and encroaching grass. The cost of play should be free but instead it was $40 for 9 holes on the weekend. I will be playing Mountain Harbor now.
