Tom Fazio's 1987 masterpiece at Wade Hampton is carved through pristine Cashiers forest, with bold bunkering and green sites that sit perfectly on the land. The routing builds drama, cresting ridges and dropping into valleys with a cinematic sense of reveal. It's lauded for variety: exacting long par-4s, reachable but dangerous par-5s, and par-3s that test both trajectory and nerve. Fast, true greens reward confident putting but punish tentative pace. Even from forward tees, strategy shines—angles always matter.

Wade Hampton is an upscale private golf community located in Cashiers, NC. The roads are wonderfully sloped and easily navigated, while the homes are thoughtfully placed far enough off the road allowing complete privacy. Long known as a prestigious community of the rich and famous - this community lives up to its reputation.
