Description

Jack Nicklaus shaped Walnut Cove as a mountain-meadow hybrid: an open, pastoral front nine that gives way to creeks, laurel and wooded back-nine corridors. The site sits just below the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the routing leans into gentle elevation changes rather than dramatic climbs. Approach angles matter—the Nicklaus green complexes are best attacked from the proper half of the fairway. The course debuted in 2005 and even hosted a PGA TOUR event exhibition as the community opened. Multiple sets of tees create a wide spread of ratings and slopes, allowing play to scale comfortably from casual rounds to championship tests.

Attended a wedding at The Tavern here. Was a beautiful location and the staff attended to every detail flawlessly including transitions between the ceremony, dinner, and dancing.

Every thing EVERY single thing was so delicious! Yiu must try the strawberry tarts. The pastry chef is a genius. The carrot uncooked soup was insane. The truffles? Sublime. Mayhapa better service at the table, but the inside staff was utterly flawless
