Description

Set on the Isleta Pueblo just south of Albuquerque, Isleta Golf Club features 27 holes that weave through cottonwood groves, desert arroyos, and lakes. The course is well-conditioned and offers a great blend of challenge and playability. Its proximity to the Isleta Resort & Casino makes it a popular stay-and-play destination. Water comes into play often, especially on the signature island green.

Play this course about 10 years ago. I was back in town this weekend so I thought I'd give it a try again. Not disappointed. Well-priced and well-maintained. Staff is friendly inside the pro shop. Large driving range to practice on. Also a nice putting green to get a feel for the role of the green. Course was in great shape. The only bad spot was on the Lakes course on number 9. Put a great round of golf got paired up with two locals and another guy from out of town. We had a good time together. If you're in town or nearby be sure to come over here and play that course. You won't be disappointed

Good course layout, pleasant scenery, and fun to play when course is in good shape; however, they should not be charging premium pricing for the current conditions. I played there on Sunday 8/17/2025 and here are the things that I think should be improved before charging a premium: - You're not allowed to practice on the driving range until 30 minutes before your tee time. The other premium courses in town do not have a time limit that I am aware of. - The putting green has been closed for several months so everyone is trying to practice chipping and putting on the chipping green. - About 30-40% of Lakes/Arroyo is very wet and soggy. I expect some moisture in the morning that should dry up by mid-morning on most courses. We tee 'ed off at 8:40 and ran into balls that plugged in the middle of the fairway, standing water in the middle of the fairway, and my shoes and socks were wet at the end of the round. The last hole #9 Arroyo was the only dry hole that I can remember. - #9 green on Lakes and #4 green on Arroyo have dead sand/mud areas on them. - White tee box on #8 Arroyo is the definition of poor course management. The entire tee box is dirt, sand, and a few weeds. I'm not sure why they would put the tee markers there. They should either put the white markers at the back of the gold tee box or the front of the teal tee box which are both in good condition. Put sod in or just let the grass grow back on the white tee box instead of letting people walk all over it. I told my friends who are members at Isleta that I will not be joining them to play there again until conditions improve significantly.

It's been a while since I played here in three or four years. Played the lakes nine which was in good shape and arroyo was not in good shape at all. The dining area was not attentive at all, had to wait before even being greeted. The drink lady andrea was not happy at all to be working and the little lady in the pro shop acted like us Customers were a bother for her. I play with the group of friends regularly, and we decided to give Isleta a shot but we will not be returning here, "ever". There are much better courses in Albuquerque and north of Albuquerque that are much better with customer service and course maintenance. They may be more expensive in price but much much better than the experience here at the Isleta Golf course!

The course is in really bad shape for 65$. I won’t be back anytime soon. Hopefully they get it back up to par, as it’s one of my favorite place to play in abq. These are just a couple of photos. The majority of the course looks like This.
