Parking lot is a little winding on your first arrival, but easily navigated once familiar. Steep hills if walking or carrying, but wonderful views as a result. Greens and Fairways well maintained and watered. Very affordable and enjoyable, includes days for the public.

I had a great time here. Just getting back into golf after some time away. There's some tight holes as well as some dog legs you need to play smart. Lay up with a smart shot or go for it over the trees long and high! I would go back at some point again. I left my driver in the bag on a few holes and my score thanked me!

I have been a long-time customer of The Overlook, and most of its offerings are among the best of the public courses in this area. The staff is friendly, the course is well-maintained, and the experience has almost always been good one. There has recently been lots of expensive activity to improve the course like traps with real sand, nice greens, etc. Thanks for that. However, there are some recent changes that are difficult for the majority that plays Overlook. I don't have statistics, but I bet that less than 5% of the players are single-digit handicappers. So, why grow tough rough to increase difficulty, slow play and send players away angry? Some of these recent changes, such as deep tee placement, tough pin placement, and the difficulty of holes like #3 and #6 (should be a par 5!!) diminish the enjoyment factor for many. We have recently lost an irreplaceable facility in Green Meadow which offered thousands of local average golfers a cost-effective and forgiving, fun activity. The Friels have always been a friend to the weekend golfer with modest budgets and a limited range of skills. Generous fairways, comfortable tee / pin placements, and manageable course challenges increase customer loyalty and the smile factor. I hope this is viewed as constructive and not just a complaint. I do like your course and would like to continue. Thank you.
