Beats everything in Upstate New York by a mile. Fairways feel like you are hitting off a carpet, greens roll true, and bunkers everywhere provide a nice challenge. Birdies are out there especially compared to the tougher Kaluhyat. Pricey but you will see why when you play there, worth every penny.

The Shenandoah course at Turning Stone Resort and Casino gets five stars from me in terms of the quality of the course itself. The rest of my experience was disappointing. I had a 9:30am tee on a Sunday morning. At 9:35, I was still waiting for the twosome in front of me to hit their approach shots. They tee'd off at 9:20. The starter watched with me as they both hit three more shots (at least) before finally making their way up to the green. By the time I hit my tee shot and drove to my ball, they hadn't even pulled the pin. I stood and watched from the fairway as the starter continued to watch from the tee box, now joined by the twosome schedule to tee off after me. I didn't hit my approach shot until 9:45—15 minutes after my scheduled tee time. I then sat and watched the two guys in front of me play golf for the next three hours. I waited for them on every tee box between 1 and 15. When I finished 13, they were still on 14 green (par 3), so I doubled back to the restroom, three holes in the opposite direction. When I got back to the tee, 5-6 minutes later, they were still on the green. I called the pro shop twice and was told both times they would "see what they could do." No one ever came to speak to them. No one ever returned my call. I just kept watching them hit multiple tee shots, multiple approach shots, and 2-3 practice putts on each green. The person in the pro shop actually told me the twosome was "on pace," but when I asked him to confirm if that was the pace for a foursome, he said yes, and I reminded him there were only two people in the group in front of me. With a drink or two, a snack, tip for the beverage cart attendant, gas to travel, etc...it's at least $225-$240 to play one of the courses at the casino. You can play any number of public courses for a 10th of that cost, or less. I had a really awesome time, and again, the course was absolutely gorgeous and fun to play. However, the overall service makes me hesitant to return or recommend this experience to anyone else.

Stunning course. One of the most beautiful courses in ny. Staff was amazing, super helpful. The carts are all electric and super quiet. Bunkers are placed so perfect. The rough was very unforgiving. I'm definitely making a return to this course.

Great fall experience coarse is AMAZING!!!

Man this place was so pure. From the tees, fairways, greens, bunkers and every inch was meticulously maintained. I've played some great courses in my life but this is right up there with most beautiful and it's so well designed. From the front tees it's not that long, but still probably a challenge to anyone. From the back tees it's a real test and I can't wait to get back there and also to try the other courses at Turning Stone.
