I’ve captured events & weddings here in photo & video for years, and I love this wedding venues! Staff is very friendly, food is amazing, and there’s lots of great photo spots!

Played here on 8/31/2025. Was most definitely a tough course to play. Also made it more difficult because it was raining almost the entire time. But our group made due. It was definitely fun. Love the layout of the whole course in particular. Pro shop was amazing and the food was top notch. Would play here again.

As a destination wedding photographer I love capturing weddings at the Saratoga National Golf Club wedding venue in upstate New York. The ceremony site by the reflecting pool is beautiful and allows for seamless flow to cocktail hour on the outdoor patio. The tent for the reception is just as impressive. Spacious, with views of the golf course, and ideal for high-end celebrations, it offers the charm of an outdoor wedding without the hassle of the production of hosting a tented wedding reception. As a wedding photographer, I especially appreciate how the space flows for guests and allows for a seamless transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. It's a venue that knows how to host an elevated event that runs seamlessly. Very well maintained course and very challenging with lots of water. If you hit your ball off the fairway don't even bother looking for it due to the thick vegetation. Played back-to-back days, Friday morning was 15 minutes ahead of schedule, but the Saturday round took nearly 6 hours.

Saratoga National has always been overpriced, but this summer they took it a step further and went to “dynamic pricing”. I spoke to someone in the clubhouse who explained to me that on “busier days” they will charge more than what their website lists as greens fees for that day. Um, what? Their rates on the site already adjust by season and then peak times of day. But now they are charging more during a “busier day”. That makes zero sense. There are a defined number of tee times in a day…it’s not like demand goes up and more tee times can be created. I made a teatime for a Saturday in late October and was told it would be $200 compared to the $175 that is on the site, because that was a “busy time”. That would be like going to a restaurant and ordering the $75 steak, but then having your waiter tell you that steak is now actually $125 because other people are ordering it. This is a completely cheap move by a golf course that tries to position itself as high-end. No more. I would typically play here a few times a year, but I will not play here again.
