Arrowhead should be ashamed. This used to be a great course. Almost $70 for a tee time, not a single nice tee box, all dirt. The fairways are patchy and embarrassing. They care way more about their weddings than they do about the course. Absolutely will not be coming back here.

The course isn’t as bad as stated in many previous reviews. Conditions were better than expected and many things are being done to improve the quality of the course. We had the pleasure of meeting new superintendent who has been there for a short period of time and is turning the course around.

Review: I recently had the opportunity to play a round at Aarowhead Golf Course and I must say that my overall experience was a mixed bag. There were aspects of the course that exceeded my expectations, while others left a bit to be desired. If possible, my rating would be 3.5 but since Google doesn’t allow that, I rounded up for fairness. Let's start with the positives. The greens were a standout feature of this course. They were well-maintained, smooth, and rolled true. It was evident that the groundskeeping team dedicated considerable effort to keeping the greens in fantastic shape. As a golfer, I truly appreciated the consistent and reliable putting surface. Moving on to the tee boxes, they were on par with what you would expect from a public course. While not perfect, they provided adequate ground for teeing off without any major issues. Although they had many bare patches and lots of tees stuck in them, I found them to be acceptable to tee off from and didn't encounter any significant problems during my visit. Unfortunately, the fairways were a letdown. There were noticeable weed patches scattered throughout, which detracted from the overall aesthetic and playability of the course. It would be great to see more attention given to maintaining the fairways, as they are a crucial component of any great golfing experience. The bunkers were another area that left me disappointed. They were in poor condition and seemed severely neglected. The sand was inconsistent and lacked proper maintenance. Most bunkers had a foot of standing water in them and only an inch of sand or less until you hit hard packed mud. It was evident that more effort is required to bring the bunkers up to par with the rest of the course. On a positive note, the carts provided were excellent. They were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with modern amenities including GPS tracking to show you distances to the greens. The staff was friendly, attentive, and demonstrated a genuine passion for ensuring an enjoyable golfing experience. From check-in to the end of my round, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, which significantly enhanced my overall impression of the course. Although there were some areas that could use improvement, the exceptional service received from the carts and staff at Aarowhead Golf Course deserves commendation. With a bit more attention to the fairways and bunkers, this course has the potential to provide an even better golfing experience. I would recommend Aarowhead Golf Course for golfers looking for a course willing to shell out some $$ for sub standard value expected at that rate with well-maintained greens, decent tee boxes, and exceptional service. Just be aware that the fairways may not be up to par, and you will be treating the bunkers as “ground under repair.”

The course is in absolutely terrible condition for the price. The greens are fine but the fairways are just patches of pure crap grass or straight dirt and dead grass. I don’t think a single tee box had a full square foot of grass all the tee boxes are pure dirt and patches of dead grass. The course could be soooo nice the layout is pretty and it’s a cool design but the conditions are awful for the price. They’re more worried about spending all their money on their wedding venue than being a functional golf course. Did I mention how over booked they were too!

This is NOT worth the money. Bunkers are wildly variable in condition; some are sandy, some are just bare dirt. On 15, two have been marked ground under repair with no apparent intention of fixing them. On 16, they appear to have removed a bunker and left just a pit of weeds? It looks terrible. Fairways on the front are OK. Fairways on the back are worse than most municipal courses. Awful shape. At least one green, a par three on the back, had a large dead spot. The tee boxes are the worst I've ever seen. They are bare dirt in most places, but the cart will still beep to you to remind you to fix your divots in the tee box, like it's mocking you. Layout is OK, not that interesting. Quite short.
