Description

Santa Ana offers 27 holes of pure desert golf on the Santa Ana Pueblo near Bernalillo. The layout features rolling fairways, native grasses, and expansive views of the Sandia Mountains. Conditions are always top-notch, and the variety between the nines keeps things interesting. A staple in the Albuquerque golf scene with a laid-back resort feel.

My wife and payed $45 each on a Friday afternoon. Our cart had a screen showing each hole as well as distances from where the cart was located. Pretty neat! Fairways and greens were in good shape. We played the Cheena (water) and Star (bunkers) combo. The course is interesting and offers great views of Sandia Mountain. The only negative was the pace of play: 4 hours 40 minutes! No marshall to be seen to speed up play. Also, the course could use some ball washers. Overall: great course at good price.

Awesome day for my husband & his friends. Me and my sister in-law got to ride along and had a BLAST watching these guys have so much fun 🤩 Great service & great experience overall! They said the course was really well maintained. Santa Ana is a BEAUTIFUL course and we will definitely be back 🤗

Beautiful setting looking out to the spectacular Sandia mountains. 5 star ⭐️ rating for customer service. Excellent host to the Native American Open.

Great public course. I believe it's three nine hole courses. Pro shop, locker room, onsite dining all well maintained. Pro shop employees were very courteous and helpful. Course is pretty well maintained. Three to four teeboxes for each hole. Water hazards and sand traps all in good condition. Views of the Sandia Mountains are outstanding from certain holes. Wildlife (turkeys, geese, bobcat) was seen throughout our round of golf. The reasons I gave 4/5 stars are because there are a couple marked hazards throughout the course that are just standing water puddles (it's winter and rained yesterday), fallen leaves on fairways made it hard to find the ball at times, and also because cart geofencing was unreasonable in one instance during our round. VERY minor things all considered. I look forward to playing here again for sure! I just wish it was my home course and in Albuquerque rather than 25 miles away right next to Bernalillo.

2025 fall update: I continue to play this course along with its partner course Twin Warriors. Unfortunately, there's been a change apparently in administration? A noticeable decline in the quality of service and the desire to please the customer. Some of the employees have left for unspecified reasons and not all remaining employees seem as happy as before. The Star Rewards program is not the value it used to be as they seem reluctant to accommodate your free rounds and free range passes that you prepaid for at the beginning of the year. Hopefully they'll get back on course with the service. I play this course often throughout the year. They have three 9 hole courses so is usually easy to get a tee time and play without much delay. I last played this course on June 12th 2023. The course was in very good condition. The greens were a little slow and shaggy, but once you get used to the speed they roll very well. The last two par fives on their signature hole play very long and are a challenging finish with water in play. I do walk the course for a good workout but due to elevation changes there are mostly riders. They do have a restaurant with a bar that has amazing views and an outside patio that's very long and also has amazing views. The photo is looking over the putting green just outside the clubhouse. Their Star Rewards program is an excellent value and worth checking out! Update: I continue to play this course regularly. As the winter progresses, you get a lot of run out in the fairway. Also greens are fast and in great shape. A few geese on the course makes for a messy walk at times. In the lounge, green chili chicken enchiladas are very good.
