Description

Frog Rock is a public-friendly, community-style course that emphasizes playability and a relaxed round, making it a good fit for casual golf and repeat play. The layout tends to be approachable off the tee, but it still rewards golfers who manage their misses and keep approaches pin-high. It’s the kind of course where short game matters—chips, pitches, and lag putting can save you when you’re not striking it perfectly. Many holes encourage smart, conservative targets, and your score usually reflects your decision-making as much as your swing. The atmosphere is generally welcoming, which makes it a comfortable option for newer golfers or mixed-skill groups. If you’re looking for a steady, enjoyable local round without the “destination-course” pressure, Frog Rock fits well.

The course was fun and scenic, but the guy at the window was so aggressive and rude from the moment we got there. Never told us what time we had to be done but chased us down with the golf cart telling us we had to go at 7. Also, not one of the tee box's were actually marked on the scorecard. Which is cool, but I'd like it if the aggressive meanie at the window would've told us.

Ladies and young golfers beware!!! I am so unhappy about what just transpired at this golf course that I feel compelled to write a review. I was dropping my son and his two friends off to golf and we had the worst experience with the worker/manager/owner inside. They were unable to golf with a cart because the one boy who is 17 had forgotten his ID. Since they have homecoming tonight, they would have been unable to walk the course so they decide to leave. (I understand the rule and that is why we were leaving to go home). HOWEVER, I pull up to pick them up and the gentleman from inside FOLLOWS them out to the parking lot harassing them about not having an ID. To make it worse - he proceeds to harass me about it through my open window. He was claiming that I told them to get a cart without ID (which I did not). I understand and respect the rule which is why we WERE leaving. This course may respond to this negative comment and say that these boys got mouthy with this gentleman. I can confirm they did and rightfully so!!!! These boys were raised right and will not allow a woman to be harassed by a man for NO REASON. WE WERE LEAVING!!!! There was no reason for him to follow them out into the parking lot!!! He then proceeds to take a PICTURE of my LICENSE PLATE!!! For what? I do not know, as no rules or laws were broken. I believe it was an intimidation act that did not work!!! He informed the boys that they will not be allowed to golf there anymore which we will have no problem honoring as I refuse to spend good money to a business that so disrespectful to women and young golfers just trying to enjoy the game. If you want a truly relaxing day of golfing - try one of the other many, beautiful courses South Jersey has to offer - as this is not worth the aggregation!!

While this course is showing a little wear and tear because it is late in the summer with little rain (yesterday for my round the heat index was 110), it is a great course for the casual golfer; lots of wide, generous fairways and not a lot of sand or water hazards. There are some less than flattering reviews for this course but hey, if you want to spend 3x or more to play a round because the course is pretty - have at it.

The best price for 18 with a cart, and now I know why! This is a very rough course that is perfect for teaching kids and beginner hackers. Great value, not a polished course.

The food is always delicious. But, just as important is the atmosphere created by the wonderful people. Everyone from the owner Rock, servers, runners and the many, many guests (more like family) make you feel welcome. There isn't anything Rock wouldn't do to make sure your evening at his restaurant was the best it could be. Believe me when I say (within the realm of reality), No request is to large a task for Rock, Ray the Chef or the staff. Thank you to them all.
